Roz is the chief of the demi-human tribe of Medina, which lives in the lands just east of the city of Grand Zenan. She is the matriach of the ill-reputed Ozzie line and is just as charming as her infamous descendants. Vante has enlisted Roz as the general of his army of "Mystics," demi-humans to whom Vante has granted the gift of magic. Vante's plan is to send Roz and her Mystic army into the rebellious demi-human kingdoms of Ranidae and Manoria, so that all the world might at last be under the control of Grand Zenan and the human race. Roz plays the part of loyal servant most covincingly; little does Vante realize that his trusted general has ambitions of her own.
