About Sunflower

There is an alternate scenario in Radical Dreamers where Kid is turned into a monster sunflower that attempts to destroy Kid's friends Serge and Magus. This strange experience is a stage in Kid's evolution, whereby she will eventually realize that she is the reincarnation of lost Schala.

In this timeline, Sunflower is a product of a joint experiment by Lucca, Solomon, and the ancient the Guru of Eternity, Methuselah. Methuselah grows special flowers at his Solarium on a lost continent. Using these magic plants as a medium, Solomon is able to draw out Kid's hopes and dreams and infuse them into Kid's weapon, the Ruby Knife, thereby creating her ultimate weapon, Radical Dreamer. At the same time, some of this power is directed back into one of the sunflowers, and Lucca uses her Life Sparkle invention to give this flower the power of conscious thought.

The resulting lifeform is a reflection of everything which makes Kid the person she is, much as Masa and Mune (and Doreen) were the incarnation of Melchior's wishes. This makes Sunflower a powerful ally indeed--not to mention a loyal one.
