telekinesisDid you ever try to move objects about your bedroom when you were a child (and certainly failed shamelessly), or watched some fantasy movie and wished to have the ability of levitation just like that character had?

So did I, and this is very conventional as we both know. But as you also know, there are some people out there who actually claim to be able to do such things.

Sometimes they claim to do just like the movie characters: fly about, move heavy objects, etc; others are more modest, they only claim to move small and light objects and levitate just a few inches from the ground.

All these abilities and other mental ones are part of the Psionics science, which includes all the other abilities like Telepathy and Tele-transportation that will be discussed later on.

What is it?

Telekinesis is the ability of moving or affecting objects, and this includes moving a person's body too. Theoretically any healthy person has the capability of doing it in a level or another (nothing like the X-Men level, mind you), depending mostly on the person's concentration and practice.

Obviously such abilities have been faked endless times through the centuries and in different societies, since the Ancient days. Magicians are people who either have psionic abilities or are good deceivers...

But the new technology that our present science has, has been showing that there can be something behind what seems to be mere theater, and the best field that can explain such things and others is Quantum Physics.

Breath calmly reader, because I'm not going to discuss it here, (not now at least ;) ) but one essential thing is that scientists have been finding through Quantum Physics that matter moves in space and time in different patterns, as if an object, let's say a ball, when thrown in the air, follows several parallel paths in different levels of speed before getting to its destination: the floor or somebody's hand or window…

So when somebody supposedly would move an object with the power of his/her mind - a small ball-of-marble over a table's surface, for example - this person would be using his/her invisible energy to move the object in a subatomic level, which would end up affecting it in a physical way, causing the ball to slowly roll over the table.

However Quantum Physics isn't proving that somebody can indeed move an object with the power of the mind. In fact, it's very far from attempting to prove any such thing. The tests that showed such results were done in an enormous apparel called "particles accelerator" and were done using very tiny subatomic particles.

The physical rules that are applied to such particles seem to be a little different from the ones applied to beings extremely big as us. In the world of these tiny particles, they can divide themselves in so many even smaller particles that although these can't hardly be considered physical anymore, they still exist and each one of them follow different patterns when they move.

telekinesisAlso it seems that there's some kind of connection between the particles that give form to everything that exists, either macroscopic things like us, or microscopic things like amoebas, as there has been a study in which it was perceived in a laboratory analysis that if a person's sample of cells is left in a room, and there's any stimulation caused to that person's body, the cells react in a subatomic level as if they still were in contact with the organism.

As for the "person's energy", what can it be? Another area of science called Proxemics, explains that every living being that exists has this energy field that surrounds the body and that is used to reinforce corporal communication.

A person's aggressive manner would be able to be felt by another without one having to talk to each other or seeing each other's physical language. Some say that the same energy that would make the other's feelings noticeable to those around him, would also be used to move objects

Thing is, it's still far too wild to consider that one day telekinesis will be practiced far and wide and certainly it'll never be done exactly in the way it's shown in the movies, but one of these days scientists may come to realize that there's much more power in our hands and hidden possibilities around us, than is now considered possible.

Just like one day it was approved knowledge that the Earth was flat and flies were born of rotten meat, one day it may be common for certain people, after a great deal of practice, to twist a key with a decisive thought to do it and lots of concentration, and not having people around her saying that it is a trick or witchcraft.

What??

Now, maybe you're wanting to ask me: Do you believe this is possible? Being sincere with you, I like the idea of it, but I don't believe it's possible, as I never saw anyone doing such things. But I do believe in what Quantum Physics is starting to show.

After all, scientists are people who generally do everything they can to prove that non-physical manifestations don't exist and now they're dealing with something they can't control and are just starting to understand.

No, I don't think much more than such inexpressive things, like bending forks or rolling tiny balls over a table surface veeery slowly will be accomplished, but I think that confirming the existence of such abilities can lead to more important discoveries.

It can lead to a deeper knowledge of how we interact with the invisible world around us and unfortunately it'll probably lead to people exploring such matters with bad objectives in mind, as usually happens...
