I have always filled thy cup
The Young Lover learns our Medicine
The Old Man makes him change
The Hawk soars above my heart
The Four Paws always beside me
In the dark silent love embrace
Red Feather thou art mine beaked upon thy brow
Traveled have I to newer lands, always in thy view
Father Sky warmed our home
Water Woman's smile withdrew
There is only the taste of sand
Dove on Rock on Cliff at Sunset
Hear me cooing from the shade
Behind my shadow stand three turkeys
No more shall we build like the Swallow
I still see all our nests
Thunderbird spread your wings
Bring your song to our home
The Wind carries no more feathers
In wrinkled skin the lover remains
His arms are around my heart
No grass to soften my dreams
Sylhara, Lammas 03
