"Jessie! Can we go now?!" Team Rocket was in a small park in the middle of nowhere. Jessie was happily dancing near the pond. "Argh, James you sicken me! We are staying here until the twerps get here!" She turned around to yell at James but she decided to after she finished dancing. "Come on Jess ya been dancing around dat thang for hours!!!" Meowth walked over to the gate of the park and left. "Hmm…" James followed him leaving Jessie alone in the small park. "Be that way!" She sighed as she walked over to a tree and sat under it. "So, boy trouble, ehh?" A small old lady popped up from behind the tree. "What?! Who are you?!!!" Jessie turned to the lady and glared at her. "Seems like you have a crush on this boy!" The old lady mumbled. "What!!! How dare you!!!" "I know! You need a brand new look!" "Huh? A new look!? WHATS WRONG WITH THIS ONE?!!!!!!" "Why that hair smells...GROSS!" "Why you old bag!!!" "Now, now! Calm down! Here come with me!" She grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the next town. "Hey stop! Let go of me, you old hag! Hey stop!!!" She was dragged off into the forest. "Auggh! We’ve been walking around for hours!!!" James held his head and shook it. "Jimmy….we’ve been walking around for five minutes!" James sighed. "I'm worried!" " ‘Bout what?" "Jessie! Lets go back!" "Alright." They headed to the park where they came from. "Ah-ha! Here we are!" "Magic Pony and Rides?" Jessie asked in question. "No!!! Turn around! We're here, at Pretty Neko!" "Pretty Neko!!! What? Are you sure?!" "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! This is the shop for ya!" She pushed her into the store. "Wah!!! This is huge!!!" Jessie looked around the store. She was sure she would never be able to look good in these clothes! "Ah! Lets get this on you! And this too!" The old lady took this and that out from the shelves giving 'em to Jessie. "Now! Go!" "Where!?" The old lady pointed to a dressing room. "Go, go, go!!!" "O.K., O.K. I'm going!!!" "JESSIE!!!!" "JESS!" James and Meowth had been looking all over for Jessie for about seven minutes and James’s voice was worried. "Hey Jessie!! Where are you?!" James ran all over the place to look for her. "Aagh! The town!" James raced down the hill into the town. "Geezz…James really cares for her…Mah….I’ll wait here!" He sat down under the tree that Jessie had been under that morning. "Jessie, Jessie!" James ran to people to people showing them a picture of her, but he didn’t give them anytime to look at it. "OHH! JESSIE WHERE ARE YOU?!!!" An old lady with a glasses walked over to him. "I am right here, honey pie!" "EE!!! WHO ARE YOU?!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!! HELP HELP!!!" He pushed the old lady down and ran off to the next block. "Ouch! Wait, sonny! Come back!" The old lady was lying there on her back. People passed her, but no one helped her up. "I wonder why Meowth didn’t wanna come." He turned the corner then sighed. "Jessie…Please….Be Safe…" He whispered to himself as he passed the store she had been in. "WAH!" Jessie stood out of the dressing room in a dress. The dress was beautiful! It was a rasberry color with a pink band around the top of it, a pine green bow coming out of the back, and the bow was falling lace that went down to her ankles. She also wore a turquoise cape that ended at her knees. The last thing on her were her black gloves that she had worn with her Team Rocket outfit. She slowly picked up the dress a bit and looked down. "This is…so not me." She smiled a bit, liking the dress, at least. "Relax, dear! I like it, do you?" Jessie froze. "Its-Its O.K.…" "Okay! Number two!!! Your hair!" "My hair? WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY HAIR?!!!" "Ohh!" She giggled. "Well that's not gonna do at all!" "Huh? What do you mean?!" "Ohh Miss! Oh Miss!" The old lady called up a young woman to help her with Jessie's hair. She had brought her over to a hair department in the store that they were in. "Sit, over there!" She pointed to a chair. "O-Okay." She walked over to the chair and sat down. Tons of people rushed over to her fixing this and that, every spot of her hair was wet! The girls were fixing it for about fifteen minutes untill they started to use hair dryers. "H-Hey can’t I see it?" Jessie asked with a confused voice. "Ohh no! You gotta wait ‘till its done!" "O-Okay, then." She sat back and relaxed like the old lady had told her too. "Argh. I wonder if James is O.K., with Meowth and all...I wonder if they're dead yet. I mean they ran off into the forest…without me to guide them!" "Jessie! Where are you?! Geez…why is it so hard to find a simple girl in a town full of clothes?!" He sat down onto a table outside of a café. "You are done!" The women raised up the dyers and turned the chair around showing Jessie the mirror. "Wha!!! Is-Is that me??" "Why yes!" Her hair was down to her ankles (it was trimmed a little) and one small bang fell in front of her eyes. "I-I am…" "I know you are pretty! Now here!" She flew to her feet and put some green high heels on Jessie's feet. "Now, go! Find the boy!" "The boy? What boy?!" "The boy of your dreams!" The old woman walked off, soon disappearing into the store. Jessie got up from the chair and walked out of the store. She almost tripped on her high heels. She had never been to a salon or dressed up that fancy in her life! She looked down and then up again, there in a chair was James…he looked so sad and worried! "James?" She said very quietly to herself. She started to run toward him, as she was about three feet away from him, and she tripped for real this time! BANG! She smacked right into the concrete ground! "Huh? Oh no!" James rose to help her up. "Are-Are you okay, miss?" He helped her up as he looked at her face and started to blush. "NO!!! Geeze, James what do you think!!!-I mean…."Jessie started to think. ~James doesn’t have one idea it's me! This will be fun! I’ll act so different!~ "Why of course I am! Ohh! What's your name?" "Mine?" James asked. "My-My name is...James…" "Ohh! Nice to meet you James! My name is Jess-uh my name is Jessilyn!" "Uh...nice to meet you, Jessilyn!" "Say why don’t you and me go out! ...To dinner or something!" "Huh? But…I…" "You mean you don’t wanna go out with me? ...I see... theres another woman!?" "No, no! I don’t…..uhh…O.K. I’ll go with you! Where do you want to go?" "Ummm...why don’t we go to….to a buffet! A Chinese one!" "What?" ~That sounds like Jessie…~ "O.K. …Do you know where one is?" "Ummm, no you see I'm new in town!" "Ohh…O.K. ...I think I passed one somewhere…" He started walking down block to block. "It must have been on the sixth block..." Sure enough... "Oh! Thank you so much!" She ran in as James followed, very confused. She had already been picking out food as he looked around. "Huh? Don’t I have to pay? I guess after the meal I do…" He walked over to the buffet and started to pick out some things to eat. He sat down at a table near a fake waterfall at the end of the building. The girl sat down across from him. "This is great! Thanks!" She started to dig into her food eating as if she had not eaten something in like two weeks-but it was true; she hadn’t, nor did James. He smiled a little at her and then started to eat his food. "Well, what do you like, uhh Jessilyn?" "Hmm….Well I….." ~I got to think non-Jessie!~ " I… well…. I hate fashion and I hate hair design and and I hate….I hate…..I love to study and, well, what do you like?" "Hmm? Me? Well, I like food and Pokémon and food-wise I like noodles!" "I see." She nodded along as he spoke…They finished eating in twenty-three minutes or so. James got up as a waitress came over and placed the check on the table. James looked at it as it said 1244 Yen. "WHA?!!! How much do I have?" He looked in his pocket. It appeared that there were only 44 Yen. "Jessilyn..." "Yes, James?" He quickly grabbed her hand and slammed the 44 Yen down as he raced off into the street heading toward the Café in which they had met at. He sat down on the same chair he was in before. "Do-Do you want some coffee?" James asked. She stood there for a while and then sat down. "Hmmm… Sure, James. I’ll go order it…what flavor would you like?" She asked smiling at him. "Ummm…" He thought a little and then spoke. "Hazelnut!" He yelled. "Hazelnut? Okay, Then." She walked in the coffee shop and started to order. James sat there in his chair staring at her through the glass window. ~She reminds me so much of…someone…and I think that’s Jessie…who she reminds me of…and she seems to really like me. I’ll take her somewhere before it gets late. But where?~ He looked up to the clock that hung from the shop. It said 9:10 and he looked down returning to look at her as he closed his eyes half way, just looking at her, thinking of many things. But as he was in wonderland he didn’t see her leave. She sat down and set the coffee in front of him. "James? What are you looking at?" She asked in a hollow voice. James shook his head hearing her voice as she looked to her. "Oh, me? Nothing, really!" He sweat dropped and looked down and the coffee seeing the steam flow come out of it. He saw his face in the coffee as a reflection. He looked up and took a deep breath. "Jessilyn…" He started. "Yes, James?" She remarked. "You, you are very pretty." He finished. Jessie quickly looked up and her eyes started to water. ~James never said that to me. Maybe I am too mean, that’s why he hates me so much.~ "Thank you James." She said very sadly. "No…you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen!" He said. "Oh…that’s sweet…but it's not true. If you saw who I really was then you would hate me…again…" She said. "What? Again? Jessilyn? What do mean?" He said and he finished drinking his coffee. "Never mind." She said. "Say, why are you so dressed up?" He asked. "Huh? Oh, well, I was going to go...this is the way I dress everyday!" She smirked at him. "Oh, I see…So...you done, with your coffee?" "Umm, just a second!" She drank the rest and stood up. James did the same. They walked around the town for about half an hour. James stopped in front of a jewelry shop as he looked at her. "You like this?" "Like what? Jewelery? Yeah! Every girl loves this stuff!" James walked in along with Jessie. They looked around for about fifteen minutes. Jessie looked at a small necklace. ~This is so pretty.~ She thought to herself. ~I love it!~ It had a small circle and hanging from that was a blueish-purple-colored diamond shaped diamond. She walked away from it and then James walked over to where she was. ~Was this what she was looking at?~ "James...I’ll be out here" She said as she waited outside. James looked at it some more…He knew he had no money so, slowly, he smashed the glass open and took it! As the alarm rang James ran out grabbing Jessie’s hand and continued to run off. As they were running, he put it in his pocket. He stopped running when he got to a dock. "Why were you running, James?" "Umm, well, the Chinese Buffet people came in?" "Oh!" She smiled and then walked along the dock to the edge. She looked at herself in the water and she wanted to cry. ~James likes this…and this isn’t me…~ James walked over to her and turned her over, making her face him. "Jessilyn…" "Yes…James?" She swallowed. "Here…" He reached out of his pocket and grabbed the necklace. "James? How...how?" He put the necklace on her and smiled. "Never mind that. Jessilyn, I wanted to say that I had the best time with you tonight." "James? Do...Do you really mean that?" "Yes…I do." James moved toward her a little and so did Jessie. James bent down just a bit as both of their lips touched. ~If only he knew this was me…~ She thought. James soon thought about something that would break the kiss. ~What am I doing? My heart…belongs to Jessie…~He broke the kiss and turned away. "What's wrong, James?" "Nothing." He said. "I-I think its time for me to go." Jessie said to him. "W-Why?" He asked. "I-I have things to do." She walked off as she turned around and saw him looking at her. "Good-bye, James." She said. "Good-bye, Jessilyn." She turned around and left…soon disappearing, James sat down on the dock. He looked down at himself from the water…"Jessie." He said to himself…one small tear fell from his eye…Some more fell. "I should've been looking for you this whole time…but instead I wasted it with a girl I just met. That necklace…should have been to her…" He got up and walked up and down the streets, soon finding the park where Jessie was dancing in before. He walked through the gates, closing his eyes tight, hoping that when he would open them Jessie would be there. He opened them…and she wasn’t…He sat down next to Meowth who was curled up and asleep and he soon fell asleep too. In his thoughts were Jessie…and Jessie only. It was morning when he opened his eyes. He turned to the gate. He saw Jessie there! She was watching the sun rise…alone…not yet seeing James. He got up and walked to her. "James…" She said quietly to herself, still not seeing him. She then felt a hand on her shoulder. She blushed and turned around. There was James! "James!" She yelled. "What are you doing here?" "Jessie…I'm sorry I didn’t go looking for you…" He hugged her. She didn’t hug back. She just stood there and smiled. She knew she could go cash that necklace in…but even though it was not to her…she still loved it…because it came from the only man she would ever love in her whole life time.
