Complaints/Conerns
I don't have many complaints, really. The MAJOR complaint that I have about Japan is that they don't have central heating (or central air conditioning). It's SOOOO cold here! I cannot believe it! It's LITERALLY warmer outside my place than inside some days. Trist will attest to that. It's really unbelievable the lack of insulation. In the summer, it's so hot and humid! But I rather have it cold ANY day rather than hot. At least during the colder days, I can turn on my heater, electric blanket, electric rug, and put on two layers of fleece pants and 3 layers of fleece tops. In the summers, it's so hot and humid - three showers a day isn't enough! Another trivial concern I have is the garbage system here. To sum it up the garbage system here is a pain. Garbage is divided into 3 major groups - burnables (paper, food, etc), non-burnables (large appliances) and plastics. Here's a chart of what I think is going on. I have missed my garbage days so many times that I have a balcony full of garbage! *sigh*
