 Here I am in a 1670 painting by Bartolome Esteban Murillo.  BiographyI was born in Chicago, Illinois to Levi and Esther Shapiro at 4:13 a.m. on July 18, 1980. I have no brothers or sisters. From ages 11-17, I attended a private school, the Modern Classical Education Institute in New York City. In college I majored in Literature with a focus on Cultural Studies (I am sorry that Theory is lumped together with it), and have continued this interest in graduate school. I am currently married to Xander Salzberg, possibly the most excellent specimen of the domestic male found to date. We are currently expecting a little girl, possibly the most excellent specimen of babyhood to date. AstrologyMy Sun sign and Rising sign are both Cancer, which means I am moody, introspective, domestic, and fiercely protective of those I love. Certain others can vouch for the fact that I turn near-tyrannical when I feel I'm not being loved enough.
