Around San Marco
We also took a day trip to Murano island to visit glass factories. It was very interesting watching glassblowing and browsing in dozen of glass stores, especially the fancy chandeliers. Although there were literally hundreds of stores in Venice and Murano selling all Murano glass products.
Parking lot
The gondola ride was shockingly expensive, especially at night, it can be $150 per ride, more if you want music and singing. We decided that we must ride the gondola, however we shared with groups of people, we had groups of gondolas with a singer and a musician. It was one of a kind experience :-)
