History:
Mamoru was the prince of earth, Prince Endymion, in his past life. He fell in love with the princess of the moon, Princess Serenity. An earth woman named Queen Beryl was jealous of their love, and awakened Metalia in order to have power to destroy the Moon Kingdom and separate Endymion and Serenity. Princess Serenity's mother used her last bit of strength to send them and the senshi to Earth to be reincarnated into a new life.
On Earth, Mamoru was orphaned as a child. He lost his memory of his parents who supposedly were in a car accident and drove off a cliff. He was alone during all his childhood mostly, but had a friend in the hospital named Fiore, an alien he thought he had dreamed up. Child-Usagi met child-Mamoru in the hospital when her mother was giving birth to Shingo. She gave him a rose to cheer him up, and he gave it to Fiore as a going away present. Fiore later came back in the SMR movie and got jealous of Mamoru's love for Usagi and caused some trouble.
When Mamoru was 18 (17 in the manga), he met 14 year old Usagi when she tossed her bad test score in his face on accident. At that time, they were also Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen; Moon had a crush on Kamen, but they didn't know eachother's identities until later. As Usagi and Mamoru, they were mean to eachother, but inside they cared about eachother. When they remembered their past lives, they fell in love again. That's when Zoisite had stabbed him in the back, and then Queen Beryl brainwashed him into working for her. After Sailor Moon defeated Beryl, everyone lost their memories; and in SMReturns they had to get to know eachother all over again. And instead of Tuxedo Kamen saving Sailor Moon and the Senshi, it was Tsukikage no Knight, who was Mamoru's spirit, but not Mamoru himself. After Mamoru regained his memory, Tsukikage no Knight disappeared, and Tuxedo Kamen went back to saving the Senshi.
In SMRomantic, Usagi and Mamoru were kissing when Chibi-Usa, their daughter from the future, fell from the sky and landed on their head. They find out that they are the future queen and king of Crystal Tokyo. They get engaged in the Stars series, and actually marry in the manga.
Transformations: He doesn't say anything, just takes out his rose and turns into Tuxedo Kamen.
