In this case, Tsuzuki has just come back from checking in with the authorities that are in charge of Okinawa, while leaving Hisoka with Chiziru (the resident shinigami), Yuma and Saya after he passed out from the heat. Tsuzuki checks to see if Hisoka's fever has gone down.

Hisoka recalls Tsuzuki's kindness to him while in a swordfight with Oriya

Tsuzuki thinks about how he doesn't deserve to live, and calls Touda to continue the burnings. But he hears someone call him.

Tsuzuki looks up to see what little speck up in the sky is Hisoka. Tsuzuki tells Hisoka to go back or he'll die too. Hisoka calls for him, telling him he's an idiot and he didn't come all this way to watch Tsuzuki burn, as he flies down, and sees Tsuzuki's tears.

Hisoka see Tsuzuki's grief as he cries, as he says he's too tired to live anymore.

Hisoka hugs Tsuzuki desperately after clinging tight to Tsuzuki. He tells Tsuzuki that he doesn't want to be alone anymore, and that long ago he decided the only place to return to was to Tsuzuki. He thinks, that he doesn't want to lose what is important to him.

Hisoka proclaims that he will be by Tsuzuki's side. He thinks about how he won't let go of Tsuzuki's hand a second time; that he will go to wherever Tsuzuki is going (including his second death).

Hisoka thinks about what Oriya asked him during their swordfight, about why he was fighting. Thus begins his thoughts on wanting to become more powerful to protect Tsuzuki.

Hisoka proceeds to freak out and look absoultely scary when Riko gets killed, and charges in to fight. Two of Tsuzuki's shinigami in human form get to witness his anger....O.o
