The Thunder Rolls

The sound of rain plinking and spattering against the roof made Kento feel cold, though a warm fire crackled away in the hearth in front of him. He knew his body was warm, and the living room itself was warm, but the sound of the rain and wind outside gave him the chills. Sliding off the couch to sit directly in front of the fire, he wrapped his arms around his knees and stared at the orange flames, urging the sound of the fire to drown out the sound of the weather.

"You cold?" A soft voice asked from the kitchen doorway. Kento snapped his head up, startled, and glanced over. He smiled at the sight of the tall brunette, barefoot, carrying two mugs of hot chocolate. Trowa padded into the living room and sat on the floor, handing a mug over to Kento. "Are you cold?" Trowa's lilting voice asked again. Kento shrugged and took a sip from his cup.

"A little, I guess," The blue haired boy answered. Trowa placed his own mug on the red brick hearth before taking Kento's and doing the same. Before saying another word, he moved his puzzled boyfriend between his knees, pulling him close and wrapping his arms around his shoulders. Kento grinned and closed his eyes, snuggling against Trowa. "This is better," He sighed. Trowa smiled in return. A crack of thunder caused Kento to jump, gripping onto his lover's arm tightly. Just as quickly as it had cracked, the thunder disappeared again, rumbling off into the distance. Kento grimaced, turning his head to shoot Trowa a look of apology.

"I'm usually not this childish," Kento muttered, burying his face against Trowa's shoulder. "It's just...after years of expecting the Dynasty to attack everytime the clouds went dark, I kinda started getting scared of thunderstorms," He sighed. Trowa rubbed his cheek against the top of Kento's head. "Sage teased me about that, too. His attack was lightning based so it wasn't like it was always scary. Just...most of the time."

Trowa rubbed Kento's arms, trying to help soothe the goosebumps away. It was mostly working, Kento was beginning to relax again, when another bolt struck and the shorter boy jumped again. Trowa sighed. Kento was always so easy to rile up and so hard to bring back down. It was usually one of his most adorable features, Trowa admitted, because seeing a riled up Kento always made him smile. Kento's expressions were always so full of character and Trowa deeply appreciated seeing that. But when it was this kind of riled up, afraid instead of excited or extremely happy, Trowa didn't like it.

The wind was picking up outside and it was fairly easy to predict when the next thundercrash would hit. As soon as the bolt struck, Trowa squeezed Kento, hoping to focus his lover on anything but the weather outside. Kento's breathing had quickened, he was becoming more fearful, but he didn't jump. Trowa took that as a good sign. His brows knitted as a thought began to form in his mind. Turning Kento around to face him, he lifted his arms and stripped him of his big, fleecey pullover. Before Kento could ask what Trowa was doing, he was pulled back into his boyfriend's embrace and kissed strongly. Trowa heard the rumble foretelling another bolt approaching and shoved his tongue into Kento's gasping mouth. The bolt hit and passed without reaction from the blue haired boy. Trowa mentally grinned. Kento pulled back a little.

"That was...unexpected," Kento breathed. Trowa nodded and squeezed Kento again.

"I know, but it helped you, I think," The brunette said softly. "I think this storm is scaring you more than you are willing to admit." Kento smirked. Another clap of thunder, far louder and longer than any of the previous bolts, seemed to shake the small apartment. Kento practically jumped into Trowa's lap, shaking.

'This is going to take more than a few kisses,' Trowa thought to himself. In one swift motion, he picked Kento up and walked into their bedroom, laying him on their bed. Kento was unwilling to release Trowa's neck, but with a few kisses and enough coaxing, Trowa stood up straight again.

"I'll be right back," He whispered, patting Kento's knee. Kento watched Trowa stride back into their living room to close off the grate to their fireplace before turning back and grabbing a flashlight out of their desk drawer. "In case the power dies on us," He said, lying the flashlight on the bed side table.

Before climbing onto the bed with Kento, Trowa shrugged out of his pajama top, letting it slide to the floor. As soon as that was out of the way, he slid up next to his boyfriend and gathered him up in his arms. Flashes of blue lightning illuminated the outside world every few minutes, ocassionally coupled by a thunderclap or two. Kento hid his face in the crook of Trowa's neck, wrapping his arms around the other's waist.

"Man oh man oh man," Kento chanted, tightly shutting his eyes. Trowa petted Kento's hair, lying kisses over his lover's heated brow, down his cheeks, across his jaw and over his lips.

"Shh, Kento, focus on me," Trowa murmured. His long fingers roamed over Kento's back and down his hips, playing at the hem of his orange pajama bottoms. Kento's hands hesitantly drifted upwards, over Trowa's arms to rest on the brunette's shoulders. "I'm right here, I'm all there is, there is nothing to be afraid of," Trowa breathed into Kento's ear. He skillfully removed the last of Kento's nightclothes without moving his lover too much, tossing the unecessary garments over the side of the bed. The fear coursing through Kento did nothing to keep his arousal leashed. The soft caresses and lovers whispers were more powerful than his fears, and soon the storm was forgotten in favor of Trowa's passion.

Pushing Kento gently onto his back, Trowa lifted himself over his lover, quickly kicking off the pants to his pajamas. He refused to allow Kento's mind to settle again lest he be swept back up in the thunder crashing just outside. He kissed Kento roughly, keeping his attention completely on him, what they were doing and what they were going to do. Kento's fingers danced up Trowa's arms, his nails raking down the bared flesh, urging Trowa forward, to do whatever he wanted to do but to do it soon. Trowa didn't need much urging.

Caressing Kento's cheek with one hand, Trowa lowered his fingers to his lover's lips. Kento's tongue wrapped around one long digit, sucking it in. When Trowa felt he couldn't take much more himself, he pulled his finger out of Kento's mouth, lowering his hand between Kento's legs, pushing his moistened finger inside his lover. Kento arched up, gasping.

"Shh, it's okay," Trowa swallowed, rubbing his cheek against Kento's. He pushed in a second finger, stretching his blue haired boyfriend as well as he could. Kento could barely speak and simply nodded at Trowa's words. Not wanting to waste any time, or let Kento's mind wander back to reality, Trowa quickly moved between Kento's legs, spreading his knees as far apart as they would go and pushed inside.

The storm was completely forgotten now. The Dynasty itself could be attacking and Kento wouldn't give half a damn. All his thoughts were on Trowa and the feeling of being joined completely with his lover.

"Gods...Trowa!" Kento gasped loudly. Trowa's hips moved faster, eager to please his writhing boyfriend beneath him. It wasn't taking much, and it wouldn't take much longer to satisfy.

"Mm, Kento," Trowa heaved, shutting his eyes against the overwhelming wave of feeling. Pleasure coursed through him like molten lava, and he felt just as hot. His climax was close enough he could practically taste it. His fingers went straight to Kento's hips as he came. His grip slipped just barely as Kento followed suit, splashing the both of them with his own spent climax.

As Trowa heard Kento's breathing even out, he pulled out, glad to see his boyfriend finally relax. The thunder rolled in the distance, the storm was finally passing. Trowa knew he should waken Kento again so the two of them could wash up before actually getting into bed to sleep, but he was loathe to wake the man. Sighing, contented, he rolled onto his side and dragged Kento up against him, spooning with him. He'd wake him in a little bit.The End
