Prologue
She sighed, wandering aimlessly throughout the palace. Setsuna had brought her home two weeks before and elft again, with the promise to return. So where was he?
"If he's not back here by next week, I'm going to have to tell father myself..." she thought with a small sigh. "He better be here...I don't want to tell father by myself..."
"Kiyoko, my daughter...whgat is wrong?" her father asked as he stopped in the sunroom where she sat, "For two weeks since you've been home, you've been so miserable. What is wrong?"
"I just miss Setsuna is all..." she responded softly, her golden eyes brimming with tears. She closed them, her lashes resting lightly against her cheek to prevent the flood of tears from falling.
"He'll be back," her father replied, hugging her gently before he had to leave.
She always knew that, as King, her father had a lot to do. But he'd also always made time for her. A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.
"Can I come in?" Setsuna asked, poking his head in.
Kiyoko grinned, and immediately she was in his arms.
"Oh Setsuna...I've missed you so..." she murmured, burying her face against the warmth of his neck, "I'm so glad you're here..."
"Hey, I wouldn't let you tell him on our behalf by yourself. That's my job," he told her, smiling down at her.
Looking up, she smiled before he brought his soft, warm lips down on her own.
