Topic: WMW Winter Wham #3 Is Up!
Finnaly, after over three years, I made another WMW show! Winter Wham 2006 is now up and running! Not only does it feature the longest single match I ever made, but it is the second longest WMW show on record (only behind Thursday Thrash #2, and I had help from two people on that one). Please read it, and post a comment here to tell me what you think of it! After that, please vote for WMW's next event, Spring Smash. Thank you, everyone.

Well the best method for me is to find a good website that has a bunch of video clips and watch them there. I've been watching the ones at http://www.tokyomonsters.com/ as of late. If anybody knows any other good websites feature Ultraman or Zone Fighter clips, then please tell me. Combined with the "sampling" of DVD's I ordered, I should get a good idea of the Ultraman series, and you might just see the guy in WMW someday.

I've read the show and it was fun to say the least. It was pretty cool. The fights were awsome and the commercial made me laugh (the whole "Crazy Ec" thing.).

P.S. I don't think that the GTS monsters should be on the show, or at least not have them fight the movie monsters.

Ah yes, "Crazy Eck" may be a bit of a cliche used car comercial parody but I couldn't resist putting it in. Glad someone else laughed at it besides me.

As for the GTS thing, well the only episodes I ever watched of the show was the Monster Wars trilogy, so unlike Electric Oreo I'm not exactly qualified to do matches with them anyways. Hence the GTS monsters are pretty much "retired", although they may pop-up if needed (like for the GTS Godzilla vs. the Hanah-Barbara Godzilla match I've always wanted to do).

Souds like an interesting match. Did ya ever notice how the Hanna-Barbara Godzilla fights more like a human than a monster? Then again so did the Showa Godzilla who had retired shortly before the show began.

but the gts monsters are fun plus please bring back showa goji if he dies then hell will rage on the weker ones cos hel take them with him p.s godzillajr and godzilla showa would make a kick-ass team

As much as it violates numerous laws of continuety, I consider the following "Godzillas" to be the ones in WMW:

Gojira (AKA Gigantis, the Godzilla that appeared in almost all the movies (except Godzilla 54). As for how the same Godzilla can be used for every scenario, let's just pretend that dimensional alternate reality physics make it possible. The Showa, Heisie, and Milinium Godzillas are all the same in WMW, and has the abilities of all of them put together. However, I tend to go with the Showa mindset combined with the Final Wars abilities. Can tranform into Super Gojira under certain conditions)

Minya (the "Son of Godzilla", appeared only once in WMW. The one for Final Wars and the Showa series are considered the same here.)

Little Godzilla (Gojira Jr., the Heisei son of Godzilla. Likewise only appeared once. Temporarly shrunk from full-grown to child-sized. Currently full grown again and resides on monster island, but wishes not to fight again in WMW)

Biolante (geneticly created monster from the cells of Gojira and a rose. Orbited around the earth before coming to WMW)

Spacegodzilla (a combination of G-Cells and strange space-based phenominum that created a crystal-infused clone of Gojira)

Kiryu (Mechagodzilla 3, the original Godzilla from 1954 turned into a cyborg.)

Cybergodzilla (the Zilla from Godzilla 98, turned into a cyborg during "Godzilla, The Series". Currently retired.)

Zilla (a clone of Cybergodzilla created for WMW, loaned to Toho for use in Final Wars).

GTS Godzilla (last remaining son of Cybergodzilla, main monster in "Godzilla, The Series". Currently retired.)

Don't bother responding on how none of this makes sense, because it's not suppose to.

Oh, forgot a couple

HB Godzilla (the "old cartoon" Godzilla from Hanah-Barbara. Will be in WMW as soon as we find that little device that calls him)

Godzookie (the cartoon "son of godzilla" from the Hanah-Barbara show.)

Ah yes, the good ol' tail-slide drop-kick thingy from Godzilla vs. Megalon. Gojira hasn't used this before because his G2K appearance had large solid spikes that would have dug into the ground if he tried that move. Now that Gojira has been "updated" to the Final Wars version, he's able to do the slidding drop-kick, which I've been planning to use finnaly.

Close enough to the real Godzilla to not bother with. Same with the Marvel Godzilla despite the differances.

Yeah.

Go to the Links page and find Godzilla Universe. The monster wrestling section, MWF, has a page listing the past shows (that survived data deletion). The last one on the list, Episode 9, contains special match at the end of the show. It is a representation of a poll placed on three monster wrestling sites to determine who has the best (most popular) site.

WMW: World Monster Wrestling, found on this site, represented by Ultrazard, a monster I created

MWF: Monster Wreslting Federation, the site where the match was held, represetented by Enferno, a monster that Tomzilla (the founder of MWF) created

MCW: Monster Championship Wrestling, a site that is now defunct (dead, missing, non-existant, can't find it, deleted, gone from the world), represented by Midrah, a godzilla-like monster created by the founders of MCW

The voters determined that MCW was the third best (much to their despair), WMW was the second best (as shown on the WMW page here), and MWF was the best monster wrestling site of them all. There has been one or two polls since then, and the numbers also agreed (I think KWF, found at Kaiju HQ, was fourth). Perhaps there should be another poll, but in all actuality it would be kind of unfair considering WMW is the only one that is (sort of) active. Besides, I myself believe that MWF is the best ever, and definitly deserves the title.

But after being captured, the Marvel Godzilla was heavily mutated into a form that doesn't look all that much like the original Godzilla. He even lost his atomic breath!

Hey Iggy,

Noticed your post at the MWF Forum. I have to admit, I was shocked to see your name as the topic's creator. It's been some time, hasn't it? While I could captivate you with amazing stories that have transpired since then, it would take up too much space, so we'll just leave it at that.

Glad WMW has returned. Honestly, never thought I'd see the day. But it does seem right, doesn't it? Now that MWF has ended, seems only logical for its inspiration to return, and what a return! I enjoyed 'Winter Wham #3', mostly because I missed your writing style and the uniqueness of WMW as a whole (polls, comedy, the monster attitude, how it can relate more to wrestling, etc...).

I do wonder if we can expect a weekly show to return. It's been some time since the 'monster wrestling fans' (I have no idea how many are left) had a weekly show to look forward to. I guess it depends if you have the time and energy - plus a batch of co-writers to assist you.

Anyways, thought I'd drop by and respond to your comments personally. Thank you for your kind words, Ig. It means a lot, coming from you. I appreciate the patience and support you always had for my site, namely the MWF. Glad Godzilla Tower is back, I expect great things.

Oh, and it's cool seeing die-hard WMW fans again. It's been ages since I've seen them. Best wishes to all!

Wow, Tomzilla, hello again, great to see you, long time no see, we should chat sometime.

Well to answer you question, I do not think that I will be able to do weekly shows again. Maybe the occasional random show, but not anything series because most of my writing energy is directed elsewhere. You see, I'm writing a novel, a particular sci-fi/fantasy/action/adventure/comedy that I hope will sell well. If it's successful then I'll probably continue with the book writing, maybe even wiping up a kaiju novel. Considering that I potentially can make money off of that and can't make money off of this, well I don't have much choice.

Still, if I can manage to get a pile of co-writers (and the occasional guest announcer) to do the work for me, then weekly monster wrestling will rise again! I'm currently working on a system to get this to work, which I'll put up as a sort of contest after Spring Smash is posted (and it looks to be done early). So to any potential co-writers out there, now is the time to start practicing you skills, because in a couple of weeks you'll have a chance for fame and glory and all that good stuff.

Ending the shameless plug and going back to the message, thanks go to you Tomzilla for your kind words as well. You boiled down what my work means in a way that I didn't even realize. Very inspirational, makes me want to continue keeping this site going more then ever.

Well I had good intentions too from the verry biggining. You see a few years I did a google search for Godzilla and found a link to Summer Squash #1 and I read it and it was the first WMW match I had ever read! I tracked down the scource of what I thought to be one of the most entertaining writings the web had to offer and read all of the past WMW shows in a few weeks and thought "I want to do this." I started to just write random monster fights down (three of which one me this job and can now be viewed at the link provided in Episode #0). I never spoke up because I thought he wouldn't take me seriously or would be annoyed by me, then I saw the request for new co-writers and sprang up to the opportunity. I set myself up with a second E-Mail address that would be used souly for the WMW and E-Mailed Iguanoman my matches (Two of which were brand new writings but were accidentlly deleted so I had to send in some of my old ones). Now every week I sit down on Friday, staring at the pictures and paragraphs to my new show, think of all the frustration it caused me and then I think, "I can't wait until next week."
