A.K.A.: The Gigan

Standard Equipment: cluster beam from eye, claws on feet and head, spikes on elbows and knees, big spike on head, pincer mandibles, grabbing spike cluster on end of tail, chain saw on front of body, can launch guided circular saws from chest, cybernetic armor, flight at mach 3

Arm Attachments: duel chainsaws and/or large hook claws with grappling cables

Weakness: has a habit of loosing his head

Film Appearances: Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)

History: an advanced cyborg monster made by the Xilians. Used in an attempt to conquer earth about 10,000 years ago, but Gigan was defeated by Mothra. It’s body remained buried until dug up in 20XX, just before the Xilians’ attack on earth. They reawakened Gigan to destroy Tokyo, and soon sent it to attack the Gotengo sub as it made it’s way to the arctic. Gigan downed the sub as it reached it’s destination, but was to late, for the sub’s missiles released Godzilla. Gigan fought Godzilla, but ended up getting his head blown up. It is assumed that Gigan’s body was picked up by the Xilians and "repaired" aboard the mother ship. Gigan was upgraded and sent out again to fight Godzilla and Mothra alongside the mysterious Monster X. Gigan managed to clip part of Mothra’s wing and do great damage to Godzilla’s chest. In a final attack against Mothra, he fired his guided circular saws which missed Mothra due to a release of Mothra’s powder-like scales, but Gigan then blew up the powder using his cluster eye beam. Confident in Mothra’s defeat he turned away, but the circular saws made their way back to and decapitated Gigan. A flaming Mothra then collided with Gigan and blew him up for good.

With all the spikes and gadgets and nifty abilities, Gigan is actually a very powerful enemy. He always has a "trick-up-his-sleeve", so to speak, using a new move to catch his opponent off-guard. He also has the intellectual skill to use his cybernetics for uses they weren’t designed for, such as using the chainsaw hand attachments to pull himself forward by digging them into the ground. About the only weakness he has is his overconfidence; he has a habit of underestimating his adversary. Still a powerful monster overall, though.
