Film Appearances: Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla II (1994)

History: In 1993, a muted pteranodon known as Radon popped up on a nuclear waste island. It fought Godzilla, but lost. Through a special song, it gained a burst of energy and became Fire Rodan. It fought Mechagodzilla, but lost again. It then saved Godzilla’s life by giving his nuclear radiation to Godzilla.

Although the thermonuclear attacks are not as strong as Godzilla’s, Rodan can use them effectively for hit and run tactics. By using his great airborn speed and agility, Rodan can avoid just about anything his opponent throws at him. Although not as dangerous at close range, his pecks are still quite damaging. Overall a great fighter, but he can’t take much damage before being down for the count.
