In 2001 a new cartoon was released featuring giant monsters for the legendary ape to fight. Many of the monsters were a result of a device falling into the hands of an evil scientist. Once the evil man activates the device he is allowed to join with any near by animal. Once the animal is merged with it becomes large and takes on a humanoid form. These are only a few if the many monsters making their appearance in the show.
Giant Mutant Saber Tooth Cat
Height: 15-30 ft. tall
Abilities: Intelligence of a brilliant but evil scientist to guide it in any battle. Strength, and claws.
History: After traveling to a lost island a mad man steals a device from another scientist who had stayed there in hiding from him. After stealing the machine he used it to merge with a local saber tooth tiger, which gained a humanoid shape and grappled with Kong and was defeated in battle. The cat returned to its normal state and the evil scientist escaped.
Fighting Power:***: Although at first it seemed as a match for Kong after the main character merged with Kong and put some brain behind that muscle it wasn't long until Kong had it on the run. Over all a basic kaiju.
Giant Mutant Bear
Height: 15-30 ft. tall
Abilities: Intelligence of a brilliant but evil scientist to guide it in any battle. Strength, and claws.
History: One of Kong's island's less monstrous inhabitants, a bear was taken control over by an evil scientist, using a stolen piece of technology. The bear became a giant with a humanoid shape and fought Kong until the device was damaged and the bear returned to normal.
Fighting Power***: Again a basic monster of which it didn't take Kong long to defeat.
Giant Mutant Snake
Height: 10-15 ft. tall
Abilities: Intelligence of a brilliant but evil scientist to guide it in any battle. Fangs.
History: A snake on Kong's island controlled by a mad scientist using a stolen device. After the scientist merged with the snake it gained hind legs and stubs of front limbs. Used briefly to trap Kong in a rock slide.
Fighting Power**: Not a very powerful monster and only beating Kong through a sneaky tactic and the fact it is a lot smaller than a lot of the other monsters on the show.
Yeti
Height: 15-30 ft. tall
Abilities: Strength, intelligence when being controlled.
History: A giant version of the real life mysterious creature. In the world of Kong the Series it is the guardian of a monk temple in the Himalayas. Kong and all the "good guys" came there following the "bad guys" to stop them from attacking the monk temple. To guard them the monks called a giant white primate to defend them only for it to be controlled and Kong was forced to fight and defeat it.
Fighting Power****
Giant Mutant Lizard
Height: 15-30 ft. tall
Abilities: Strength, intelligence, spiked, armored body.
History: Kong and the other good guys followed the bad guy to Australia where one of the mad scientist's henchmen used the duplicated stolen technology to merge with a local horned lizard which became giant and gained a humanoid shape.
Fighting Power****: With an armored body and tremendous strength, it would be a match for many other Kaiju.
