- Review: The first thing I noticed about this movie is that it takes a long time to set up. That is what you get when you cut back and forth from about five different places and situations. And not only does the switch between situations get confusing, but there is also a language change(English and Spanish), which can become really annoying. Not to say it wasn't a good idea, since there is some effectiveness in setting up characters separately like they did, and when they did come together it was really interesting, but they just needed to bring the different stories together quicker than the half an hour they used. This movie proves interesting in that it shows the many sides of the drug world. Not only do we see the views of those involved in the drug world, but how drugs go on to effect these people, their family, and their friends. And it is always interesting to get many perspectives on any situation, no just a one-sided flow of information. It seemed to me like there was one turning point in the movie, just one quick event that changed the complexion of the whole movie, which is something you don't see very often, yet proves effective. Also the ending was very good all around. The only aspect of this movie that was disappointing was the lack of action. Although the plot and theme was good, I expected there to be a lot of action involved with this movie. But with the action in this movie sporatic at best, I lost a lot of the appeal I was expecting when I rented this movie.
