- Review: I thought that there was a lot of potential for this movie to be really good, but that potential was not even close to being met. It starts with the storyline. I personally got the feeling that I was missing part of the story from the start. It seemed like there was at least half an hour of the beginning of the movie that was left on the cutting room floor. The movie was also extremely predictable. Add that to a lack of a unique angle for the plot to follow and sub-par acting, and you have all the ingredients for a big budget film that doesn't come close to meeting expectations. I will give this movie some credit. The special effects are pretty extraordinary and this movie has some of the best sound effects of any DVD. If you have surround sound, you might want to give this movie a try. Also, the plot had the right idea, which was to make a movie honoring those who actually had to partake in similar missions during World War II. But when it comes down to it, don't expect to get a whole lot out of this film.
