- Review: I have about a million things to say about this movie, so bear with me. Lets start with the bad. I am still waiting for a thriller to come out where the killer doesn't have superhuman speed and strength, especially when the killer isn't a very big person. Also, I was waiting for at least one of the victims to fight back. I know that I personally wouldn't just sit there if someone was trying to kill me. The closest thing to fighting back was victims trying to run away, and even when they did that they would run to someplace where they would be trapped. The movie did not contain many well-known urban legends, which is disappointing. And the worst part of the movie is the fact that it seems to be a cheap rip off of Scream 3. Now lets look at the positives. The plot, although basically just like the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer movies, is somewhat unique. It can't be easy to create original, effective twists and turns and suspense after everybody has seen the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer movies. And although the suspenseful parts are rather obvious, with the growing intensity of the background music and all, they are still surprisingly effective. The suspense lasts right up to the very end, which is refreshing. The acting was also very good, considering the movie is comprised of mostly unknown actors. Another very effective aspect is the uncertainty as to whether or not certain scenes are actually happening. At certain points of high intensity, it will be revealed that the scene is only a nightmare or something nonthreatening, which really adds to the film. And the redeeming quality of this film, and all films like it, is still the fact that it is very hard to determine who the killer(s) is/are. Of course, there are always going to be people who say they knew who the killer(s) was/were right away. But I don't buy any of those stories. Those are just cases of people who made a guess as to who the killer(s) was/were, and ended up guessing right. You may get an idea as to who the killer(s) is/are, but you rarely ever know for sure who it really is until it is revealed to you, and I guarantee that, even if that rare instance occurs where someone knows without a doubt who the killer(s) is/are, there is no way to know why they kill until that is also revealed. That uncertainty is what maintains our general interest, and makes these types of movies so popular. So this whole review really comes down to this: If you enjoyed the Screams and the I Know What You Did Last Summers, this movie will be more than worth your time and money. If you don't like these movies, don't bother with this one.
