- Review: I have a couple suggestions: Never give James Spader a leading role in a movie again, and never let Keanu Reeves play a villian. This movie fits the genre of movies like Seven and Speed. But that is part of the problem, since this movie is a cheap rip-off of those movies. The plot was very thin. It seems the writers were trying to get a deep storyline, but they needed to write about two more hours of script to achieve that. While it was obvious that Reeves was trying his best to be a villian, it does not, nor will it ever work for him. I feel bad for Spader, because he is a decent actor, but this role didn't work for him at all. And I don't think Marisa Tomei helped her career either. It is hard to get into any of the characters and feel any attachment toward them, which does not help this movie at all. All good movies have that ability to make watchers relate in one way or another to at least one of the characters. But this movie lacks that aspect, as well as originality, good acting, and good writing.
