While I was watching Cats in NYC, I flipped through this theatre book and found the theatre quiz. Here are the questions for each picture- try to guess what the play is called!:
1. Boubill and Schonberg's first hit (now at the Imperial) is based on a famed Victor Hugo novel, part of which is set during a revolution in 19-century France.
2. This other Boubill/Schonbergs hit (currently at the Broadway) earned Tonys for Lea Salonga and Jonathon Pryce and is set during the end of the Vietnam War.
3.The most recent revival of thi heartfelt play- Based on the writings of a young girl hiding from Naziss in WW II Amsterdam- starred Natalie Portman - In The Diary of Anne Frank.
4. Set in Germany before the start of WW II, the acclaimed revival of this Kander and Ebb musical (at Studio 54) now starts Michael Hall and Susan Egan (both pictured).
5. This current Off-B'way play at the American Palace Theatre is a tale of two modern Tokyo comedians reincarnated as Kamikaze pilots in the final days of WW II.
