Arriving with the 2nd due engine we captured heavy fire venting out the 1st floor of a 2.5 story frame P/D 20 x 40. Due to the
deteriorating fire conditions the incident commander ordered
all members out of the building. The dwelling was under renovations
and was not occupied at the time.

While operating at manhole incident a firefighter noticed smoke
coming from the roof of this commercial about a block away.
They found a deep seeded cellar fire.

MAR. 3, 2008 SOUTH JAMAICA SECTION
NORTH CONDUIT AVE & VAN WYCK EXPRESSWAY
While conducting a drill at Kennedy Airport. Port Authority units
noticed a large plum of smoke coming from an area just off airport
property. Requesting permission to investigate. They responded
with 3 crash rescue trucks. As they were responding FDNY
Dispatch transmitted the box for an overturned tanker on fire.
Arriving units requested a 2nd alarm and request for all foam units
to respond.

Fire started in the stairway of a story brick M/D. due to high winds
the fire rapidly spread up thru the building. A 2nd alarm on arrival
was transmitted. The attached M/D was occupied.
