Saab

I've owned a '86 maroon Saab 900 since it was new. A great driving, reliable and wonderfully designed car.

Here is my collection of appearances of Saabs in movies and TV.

Movies

The woman in the red dress drives a Saab convertible.

The beginning has a man being driven around in a taxi. The Taxi drives past a long row of parked cars in front of (I beleve) a fence. The camera then switches to the drivers side of the rear seat, looking at the man in the back seat. If you look closely, you can see the top half of a bright red Saab 96.

Paul Anderson's cautionary tale of joy-riding & ram-raiding starring Jude Law, Jonathan Price & Sadie Frost (and The Utah Saints) had a black? (it was shot at night) 9000 turbo .

Matt Dilon and Bridget Fonda are riding around in a older red 99 quite a bit in the flick...
"Sleepless in Seattle" ('93)
Bill Pullman (Walter) drove a 9000.

Green c900 hatchback passes the couple hitchhiking just before it rains.

She's driving a 9-3 convertible.

The bad guy with the gold hand drives a black '91 900T (with front mounted machine guns) in the chase scene with Richard Greico. The Saab gets blown up by a rocket!

Cybil Shepherd looks for her kidnapped child. Years later a mysterious teenager entyers her life. Her dark blue Saab 900 is seen entering the priest's nursing home, at school during the fight, and in the home parking lot.

There is a scene where Redford gets out of the car and first enters the CIA building; you can clearly see a blue Sonnett III parked right behind him.

Billy Christal drove a 96 - and crashed it!

Fritz's wife drove a black classic 900.

The first episode of the first series contained a C900.

In the later episodes, Dr Mark Sloan drives a NG900 convertible.

His boss drove a 9000.

The ad rep had a blue Saab.

Helen Miren drove a 900 in one of the episodes.
"Seinfeld"
He had a classic 900T convertible, (the hood of which opened the wrong way.) Then he had a NG900SE V6 convertible which was stolen by his Saab mechanic because Jerry didn't take good enough care of it. Later episodes he has a 97 or 98 900SE T convertible.

Commercials

Kohler
The couple racing home to use a Kohler shower, the girl drives a black convertible.
"Pep Boys"
A customer tries to stump the clerk, asking for "... a starter for a Saab?"

Two college students drive a light blue 900 hatchback to a ski slope and get Tylenol Cold medicine on the way.
