"Bye, Rose. I love you." Jack kissed Rose on the cheek as she lay in bed. Jack knew that Rose wasn't feeling well, and knew that she really needed the sleep.
"Bye, Jack. I love you, too."
Rose was so tired she didn't even turn over to see Jack. She just lay on her side with the pillow tightly close to her. Rose heard the door close softly behind her, and then closed her eyes. Rose decided that she would go to the doctor while Jack was at work. If Anna's suggestion were right about Rose being pregnant, then Rose would be a little more happy. Even though she didn't feel good at all. A few moments later, Rose decided that the sun was a sign to wake up now. She did, and took a shower. The shower made her feel a little better, but not too much. She placed a regular outfit on, and went over to Camilla's house. Rose knocked once on the door, and Camilla answered.
"Rose, how great to see you!"
"Hi, Camilla."
"Are you feeling all right?"
"No, not really. Can you tell me where I can find a doctor?"
"Oh, yes. Go down three blocks, and when you come to a corner go right, and it will be the first building on that street."
"Thanks." Rose started to walk with her black coat and a dark blue dress under it. Her hair was down, and she felt awful. She entered the doctor's office, and took a seat on one of the chairs.
"May I help you?"
"Yes. Are you the doctor?"
"Yes, I am. I'm Dr. Mackenzie." The woman smiled at Rose.
"I think I am pregnant, but I'm really not sure."
"Come into this room, please." Rose followed the doctor, and she closed the door behind Rose. "How long have you felt like this?"
"About two or three days. It feels as if as I have the flu, but I'm not sure."
The doctor examined Rose, and she sat down. "Well, Rose, I am afraid that you are pregnant."
Rose smiled. "Will my flu symptoms go away?"
"Well, they might. Mothers usually experience morning sickness, but not everyone does. Will you do me a favor, and come back in six weeks for a checkup?"
"Yes, I will. Thank you, doctor."
"You're welcome, and please eat healthy foods."
"I will."
Rose walked out of the doctor's office with a smile. Rose felt excitement over her. This would be her and Jack's first child together. The thought made Rose happy, but her sickness wasn't going away.

When Rose got home, she decided to eat, and take a nice warm bath. 'How am I going to tell Jack?' Rose thought to herself. 'I wonder how Jack will react to the news. He'll like it, I know he will.' Rose smiled to herself, and could imagine herself saying the seven words to him, "Jack, we're going to have a baby." Yet, where was she going to tell him? Rose wanted this to be perfect, especially when it was their first. In bed? Not really. During a wonderfully prepared supper? No. The beach when the sun is setting? Yes! Rose thought that this would be an excellent place. 'Tomorrow,' Rose thought. 'Tomorrow after Jack gets done with work. He won't have to go to work the next day since tomorrow is a Friday.' Rose smiled and was happy.
