Gordon in the chat room
Full transcript of the chat
Q: What
have you done today?
Gordon: I’ve
done radio interviews all day, and some New Zealand media stuff - it's been
interesting switching between radio stations all across Australia...all on top
of no sleep!
Q: Were your friends angry with you for getting evicted just days after
they'd set up the Save Flash site with competitions and prizes and stuff?
Gordon: Yeah, I think so. Oh well…
Q: Would you do it again - go into another house thing?
Gordon: Yeah, for sure.
Q: What do you feel was the hardest thing about being in the house?
Gordon: Finding enough stimulation to keep you interested throughout
the day.
Q: You got nominated three out of four times - why did they hate you so much?
Gordon: I think
I've got maybe a couple of personality extremes that people can love or hate
easily. I guess I cause a lot of ripples.
Q: How has your girlfriend handled the Big Brother experience, and watching you
in the house with Jemma?
Gordon: Well, she's handling the fact that I'm out really well...She
was well-informed after Todd was out - but she still likes me!
Q: Did you feel silly now watching Jemma's reaction to your advances?
Gordon: I kind of felt sorry for the fact that she had to go through a
week or two uncomfortably. If she'd had a conversation with me, we'd have
cleared it up easily.
Q: How did you feel when Lisa finally unloaded on you the night before you were
evicted?
Gordon: I was so happy that she finally built up the courage to
confront me. I could feel the tension building for a fortnight - she finally
made a stand, and I finally pried it out of her, why she felt threatened by me.
Q: Are you embarrassed about anything you've done in the BB house?
Gordon: No, but I did heaps of stuff that didn't get used, and I'm glad
they didn't! (laugh!)
Q: There was one night when you seemed to be having a bit of a tug under the
sheets. Were you? Was it hard to not do it for so long?
Gordon: On four occasions, actually. If you only caught one in four,
then I'm alright!
Q: What was it like to be the only Kiwi in the show?
Gordon: Honestly, I don't notice it... I'm a bit of an Australasian...
I didn't feel like an outside because I was a NZer. It was such a cross-cultural
group in there.
Q: After being told about how the public perceives Johnnie as a bit of a back
stabber, has it changed your views on him at all?
Gordon: Not really - it doesn't really contradict the person I know
Johnnie as - it wasn't all that surprising. He'll be surprised when he sees how
much attention it's been getting in the press, when he gets out.
Q: Now that you’re gone Sara-Marie is likely to go insane! Was there any
chemistry there?
Gordon: I think Sara-Marie is an absolutely beautiful individual -
she's the heart of the BB house at the moment, and I'll miss her in every way
possible.
Q: As much as I like Jemma, she seems to be very high maintenance. Has she put
any stress on the other girls in regard to their looks, and how they think they
should look?
Gordon: I think Lisa aspires to be her, which is a shame. Maybe in a
lot of ways Lisa needs a mentor relationship to get through life, which is
ironic... you can't become someone else, it's a fairly boring thing to do.
Q: On the show last night Gretel looked like she was trying to crack on - could
you get the hots for her?
Gordon: I think Gretel is a very sophisticated, charming and lovely
lady, and I'd be flattered if she thought I was attractive...
Q: Who is the person who aggravated you most in Big Brother?
Gordon: Lisa definitely aggravated me the most - she's highly
intelligent and has opinions, but chooses not to express them. She also speaks
in clichés, and calls it a sentence - it's annoying.
Q: Have you talked to any of the other evictees?
Gordon: I've talked to Todd, and Andy left me a message saying all is
well, and hoping to catch up with me soon.
Q: Did you like Andy? Were you tempted at all to get physical with her?
Gordon: Nah... Andy's not my type, but she's the easiest person to have
a lot of fun with. She's an easy-going party animal, fun in a lot of ways, but
no intense chemistry.
Q: It seems you're pretty popular with the boys as well as the girls. How do you
feel about that?
Gordon: Yeah, apparently I’m a bit of a gay icon, but maybe that's
because Johnnie didn't turn out to be all that crash hot!
Q: Have you been enjoying your freedom ??
Gordon: Yes, in fact I've been signing my name, "Freedom
Flash"!
Q: How frustrated were you getting with the lack of activity in the
house?
Gordon: Yeah... because I'm such a hyperactive person, it was really
fatiguing me that there weren't many group activities happening, in the time
& space we had - on three occasions, I nearly
went insane!
Q: What did you think of Peter and Christina getting together? Did you know what
they got up to at night together?
Gordon: Ah...I think they're sort of really potentially in love with
each other... they just don't know if they'll like each other in the outside
world. Who knows! We assumed they were getting up to a little bit of activity,
but nothing involving penetration.
Q: How have reporters been treating you so far? Is fame everything you expected
it to be?
Gordon: I really didn't think there would be nearly this much fuss made
over the TV show, especially with certain parts of my anatomy!
Q: Are you really going to go overseas straight away? You could miss out on some
cool opportunities!
Gordon: I'll see what pans out in the next couple of weeks... I was
always planning to take the rest of the year off in holidays. I won' t be
returning to work, anyway!
Q: Do you think you were portrayed fairly?
Gordon: I think there was obviously the Jemma incident, it was
misconstrued... possibly on her behalf and possibly on mine. There were no
advances from my point of view... we both love our respective partners.
Q: How conscious were you of the cameras? More than the others?
Gordon: In the early stages, very conscious. After a while, you treat
them as a household object that followed you. I think people were very conscious
of what they were saying, they didn't want to get into dangerous topics and seem
ill-informed.
Q: Were you hoping, at the end, just to provoke reactions from the other
housemates? It definitely seemed as though you were just trying to push them as
far as you could.
Gordon: Yes. In the following week, I was going to start a complete
onslaught – If I wasn’t evicted I'd be invincible! I'd try and make the
place explode!
Q: If you could do it over again, what would you change?
Gordon: I don't have any regrets - I just wish the casting was
different. Just having more hyperactive individuals, to amp the entire
environment.
Q: What did you think of Andy wanting to have sex with you, were you aware?
Gordon: She thought it would be an interesting idea to have some
naughty fun... it wouldn't have gone down well with my girlfriend, so it wasn't
a possibility.
Q: Who are the final three, who will win, and why?
Gordon: So far: Lisa, Jemma and Blair, and Blair will win. Because he
deserves to win, and he's got a high level of integrity.
Q: Who do you think should leave next?
Gordon: Sara-Marie will get nominated
again, Ben and probably Christina.
Q: Are you going' to keep that funky hair of yours?
Gordon: Yeah, I'll probably have to choose another hairstyle I'm
interested in.
Q: Was the dance challenge fun, or was it annoying?
Gordon: Extremely fun, it gave me the perfect opportunity to burn off
as much energy as I could, and taking the piss out of myself on national
television.
Q: Do you think you'll set up your own site online to keep people informed about
what you're doing now that you're out?
Gordon: Yeah, I think I'll maintain the Save Flash site (www.saveflash.com),
as a site of what I get up to in life, and a good way to keep in touch with
people who could be anywhere in the world.
Q: You seemed really pleased to get the Sony video camera and PS2 last night.
What other gadgets are you into?
Gordon: Yeah, I'm really into tech toys, I'm not into hoarding material
possessions – high tech gadgetry is definitely my passion.
Q: Do you still watch Big Brother on the TV and on the internet? How does it
feel to watch instead of BEING watched?
Gordon: It was a very strange experience to watch my first show, and
see myself on TV - your mental image of yourself differs from what you REALLY
look like!
Q: What are Gordon's life plans now post show? Would you like to stay involved
in show business or pursue his architecture?
Gordon: I want to do post-production in the film industry, special
effects or animation for TV commercials.
Q: What I’m curious about is when you and Andy were talking about it you said
"I would probably only like 1 in 10000 guys". Is that true or were you
just saying that on TV to make it look like you were into chicks more?
Gordon: Probably just means I meet a lot of girls! (laugh) Uh, yeah.
Q: What does it feel like being in the house (and nominated) and then seeing
other housemates leaving? How did you feel when Todd, Sharna and Andy left?
Gordon: Devastated when Andy left, happy when Sharna left, devastated
again when Todd left. Todd...was the biggest loss for me. I was surprised how
affected I was - I thought I was leaving that week, I was focussing on myself,
and then I realised that it was going to have a huge impact
on my stay there.
Q: Which challenge was your favourite?
Gordon: Least favourite was the
body doubles, and my most favourite was the dance competition.
Q: Are you worried about what people saw on Big Brother uncut? (Donkey Boy was
the nickname given)
Gordon: Honestly... it could have been worse, I could have been the fat
guy with the small penis... if it was the well hung fitness fanatic, I'll take
that! I was a bit disturbed to see it on TV though - I don't like to see it up
that close!
Q: What did Todd smell like?
Gordon: (laugh) I'd never noticed a Todd scent problem. I think it was
just girls with sensitive noses... he did have dreadlocks after all.
Q: Do you think Ebony should be returned to her previous home?
Gordon: I think the dog is finding it difficult to adjust to the
environment.
Q: What about the chicken scenario?
Gordon: I think the chicken incident was an event that just
escalated... I just felt that it could have been anyone in the house that could
have done that - it just came across worse on television.
Q: What was it like waking up this morning and not being in the Big Brother
house?
Gordon: I haven't been to bed yet! (laugh)
Q: If you could go back into the house for one minute to address those
remaining, what would you say to them?
Gordon: (pause) I would say... talk about each other's strengths and
weaknesses all the time instead of each other's strengths.
Q: Has going on BB lived up to your expectations? Did you achieve what you
wanted to achieve out of it?
Gordon: I maximised every opportunity within the house that I could,
and if there was any fun to be had, I was there, which was my aim, so I have no
regrets about my time there at all.
