Sara-Marie Fedele and Australian Big Brother
July 16th 2001
Sara-Marie in the on line chat room
Full transcript of the online chat:
Question: You were obviously not aware of just how huge BB was but did
you have any idea of the size of the crowd at the eviction show etc when others
have left previously. Also, who did you honestly think would go last night? Was
it a shock for you to hear your name?
Sara-Marie: I didn't think it was this big. I wasn't really surprised
that it was me. After the 6th time you're preparing yourself to go!!
Question: What kind of work would you like to be offered now that you're
famous and out of the house. And how do you feel now about being famous?
Sara-Marie: I’m just going to take it one day at a time and enjoy the
next few days. It feels awkward walking down the street and people recognise me.
I forget that people have been watching me for 3 months.
Question: We were hoping for a romance to develop between you and Blair.
Is there any chance of this happening?
Sara-Marie: No.
Question: I read in the paper today, that a modelling agency was waiting
for you to win and then once you were out, they were going to offer you a
modelling contract. Have you been offered this yet or if you were, would you do
it?
Sara-Marie: I've only been out for a day but more than likely I would
say yes.
Question: Did you regret eating fish fingers in the bedroom?
Sara-Marie: No, never - it’s all good fun!
Question: Would you do it again?
Sara-Marie: Ah!! – The BB experience! No I'll let someone else have a
go.
Question: What does "mooni" mean because where I come from it
means.... um.... the female genitals. I thought you were calling the chickens
little vaginas!
Sara-Marie: ‘Mooni mooni’ means nothing, same as goongy - it can
mean whatever you like!
Question: Hi Sara-Marie! Firstly, I want to congratulate you on coming
this far on the show. What do you think of ex-housemates like Gordy saying you
are a great role model for Aussie women?
Sara-Marie: Did he say that? I feel very flattered!
Question: What did you do last night, your first night of freedom in 3
months?
Sara-Marie: We had a few drinks in the bar at the hotel, but I haven't
really gone out yet.
Question: What do you plan to do with the $20,000 you won in the house?
Sara-Marie: I'm sending my mum to Scotland and the rest is yet to be
decided.
Question: What was it that made you like Andy and Anita when many other
housemates didn’t?
Sara-Marie: I don't have a problem with anybody unless they do
something wrong to me. There's no need not to like them.
Question: You looked absolutely stunned when you came out into the
audience with Gretel, what was going through your mind at that moment?
Sara-Marie: I couldn't believe that everyone was wearing bunny ears and
was so, enthused about the ‘bum dance’.
Question: Sara-Marie, were you attracted in any way to Ben while you
where in the house?
Sara-Marie: No! I'm just a flirt – hahaha.
Question: How hard was it to stay yourself in front of the cameras and
because of the pressure from the other housemates to tone it down?
Sara-Marie: Although I had to tone down a bit, I didn't really notice
the cameras there, so it was really hard to be myself.
Question: I would like to know what the meaning is behind when you say
Hercules Hercules when you’re excited?
Sara-Marie: It's from a movie - another movie thing. I think it’s off
the Nutty Professor - and so is my "aaaaand then"!
Question: What was your favourite task?
Sara-Marie: The exercise - hahahahah!!
Question: Did you love your kiss with Jonnie?
Sara-Marie: It was interesting – a bit too ‘much’ teeth. Ben and
Blair were better.
Question: Did living in the house change the way you will live the rest
of your life?
Sara-Marie: No, not at all. I'm more grateful for things and appreciate
things a lot more.
Question: When you were under pressure for leaving the fire task &
almost losing the team money, how did you feel? Sara-Marie: Haha - so
long ago! I felt frustrated because I was convinced that it was my fault.
Question: I loved watching you in the house, and have a great deal of
admiration for you sticking it out for a week with Ben and Blair by yourself!
How tough was it being the only girl for a week?
Sara-Marie: A challenge! The boys ganged up on me sometimes.
Question: Who did you feel the closest to in the house?
Sara-Marie: Probably the last 4 of us - Ballerina, Ben and Blair,
because we were the last four.
Question: Firstly, I just want to let you
know that the show is over for me now that you have left. I don't care which one
of the boy’s wins, you were the reason I watched BB. My question is, have you
had a cigarette since leaving the house, or have you felt like one?
Sara-Marie: No and no. I smoked for 8
years and stopped when I went in the house.
Question: I loved you on the show! I want to know, what do you think
will happen to Ben and Blair's friendship, now that they know one of them will
win? Do you think the money will change things between them?
Sara-Marie: You'll see in a few hours!!
Question: I'm sure that you would have had the most fun with $250,000.
What would you have spent it on?
Sara-Marie: I'm not spending money I don't have.
Question Final words:
Sara-Marie: It’s because of all of you that I survived 6 times, so I
can't thank you enough. You gave me the opportunity to enjoy BB to the end.

Ben and Sara-Marie talking Chickens 10th July 2001
From the BB site
All was quiet in the BB
house - Ben, Blair and Sara-Marie were in the land of nod when suddenly Ben sat
bolt upright, eyes wide open and said, "where's the chicken".
Sara-Marie engaged him,"What?" she said with startled disbelief.”
Where’s the chicken", said Ben.
"Are you serious, what are you doing, Ben are you alright?" said
Sara-Marie. The conversation continued:
B - "Where's the chicken, you
know the last chicken?"
S-M - "What?"
B - "Have we got any chicken?"
S-M - "You know you're sleep talking ha ha ha, I can't wait to tell
Blair"
B - Obviously awake now (probably from S-M's laughter) says" I feel like a
dick, I just realised I was sleep talking.
Sara-Marie then continued to laugh and mimic Ben's little episode, until both
slipped back into la la land.
Of course, a moment like this doesn't slip bye without review. In the morning
they relived the events of the previous night, recounting all to Blair.
(This is my personal favourite moment from the show with the Fish Fingers episode the next favourite)
