Frame-In-Frame
If you want to do a frame-in-frame effect, like in a newscast, there are a few approches you can take:
Use your digital editing program to overlay the picture over the newscaster.
Film the newscaster with blue/greenscreen material over their shoulder, use that to put in the little window.
Do It Live!
Example: Introduce a window over the newscaster's shoulder to being up a live reporter or interview.
Tools and Props: News Desk and Props, Square or Rectangle Mirror with Straight Edges and a Thin Plain Frame.
1. Set up the news desk and props.
2. Position Talent A at the news desk.
3. Hang the mirror on the wall behind and just over the shoulder of Talent A.
4. Set up the camcorder on a tripod on a slight angle from the news set.
5. Frame a shot including the desk top, Talent A, and the mirror.
6. Locate the spot in the room that the camcorder sees through the mirror, and position Talent B there.
