3 GUYS, A GIRL, AND A ROSE
Chapter Twenty-Nine
"Fabrizio!" Jack said. He gave his
friend a hug and Fabrizio sat down.
"What are you doing here? Tommy saw you
and he's gonna kill you!"
"Hold on a sec Rose!" Jack went to
the other side of the pub so he can talk to Fabrizio in private. "Is
Christina over there?"
"Yeah. She is only allowed to work
behind the bar. She saw you walk in with her. She isn't so happy now."
"I wanted to talk to her. She's not
answering my calls."
"Yeah. Well can you blame her?"
Fabrizio said. Jack looked down. "Now you bring Rose in here. The only way
you're gonna talk to her is to get past Tommy. I don't think he is gonna move
away from her."
"Tell Tommy to come over here. I wanna
talk to him as well."
"So he could kill you?"
"I wanna patch things up with him."
"Fine. I'll go get him."
Fabrizio went to Tommy. Jack watched
Christina behind the bar. He saw Fabrizio convincing Tommy to go talk to him.
It took a while but he finally saw Tommy get up and walk to his direction.
"What do you want Jack?" Tommy
asked, his hands in his pockets.
"I know I'm not your favorite person now
and you blame Rose and I for Christina's accident. Please hear me out!"
"I'm listening."
"You don't have to forgive me. Just
forgive Rose."
"I could do that."
"Good. I also wanted to say that I need
to talk to Christina. I know you don't want me near her. I know you love her
just as much as Fabri and I do, but I really wanna talk to her. Would you let
me?"
"If you don't hurt her again. Don't make
her cry."
"I won't. So are we cool?"
"Yeah. I don't see the harm in
that." Tommy gave Jack a pound. Jack was proud to have at least settled
that.
Jack walked to the bar where Fabrizio was
talking to Christina.
"Hey Fabri, can I get a moment alone
with Christina?" Fabrizio nodded and walked off to where Tommy was.
"Hey Chris." Christina looked up at
him. He saw that she was in pain, the bandage still on her forehead.
"Hi." He could tell that she felt
extremely uncomfortable, wishing that Fabrizio and Tommy hadn't left.
"How are you?"
"I'm great. Surprised you even asked. I
don't even know why you're here. You came in here with your girlfriend or
whatever. Your whore."
"Chris, stop it. She is my girlfriend. I
love her. Just as much as I love you."
"Liar."
"I'm not lying. I don't care if you hate
him right now. I still love you and still consider you to be my best
friend."
"You know what. This wouldn't have
happened if she wasn't a slut and slept with you. This just proves that you
slept with an easy girl."
"Come on! Give me a break!"
"No! You listen! You know I hate her!
You've known from the night of the club! I know you knew I've been in love with
you! It's been obvious! The day I decide to tell you I'm in love with you, you
decide to sleep with her! She knows how I feel about you to! It's a slap in my
face! So you can take that bitch and leave!"
"Christina, please bare with me! I am
sorry for all the pain I've caused you. I really want to have things the way
they were before I met her."
"You really think that's possible?"
"We could if we tried."
"What are you suggesting we do? This
better not involve your girlfriend."
"As much as I would like for you to be
nice to her, I'm not gonna force you. However, I don't wanna hear any negative
comments about her. I was thinking, though, since I really do care that we go
back to the way we were, it's you and me together on Sunday. Just the two of
us."
"Is that when you could fit me into your
busy schedule?"
"Hey!"
"Sorry!"
"So is it definite? Just the two of
us?"
"Yeah. Okay."
"Good." Jack leaned over the bar
and kissed her cheek.
He left the bar to go back to his table where
Rose still sat.
"Sorry I left you here."
"It's alright. You did what you had to
do." Jack kissed her, happy that she was an understanding person.
"Let's get out of here." Rose got
out form her chair. They left the pub holding hands. Jack hoped after Sunday,
things would be back to normal.
