3 GUYS, A GIRL, AND A ROSE
Chapter Six

"Sweetpea, I would like to present you with my gift." Cal called for a hostess to come. Rose saw the hostess carry a blue box. "Thank you." Cal opened it up, and Rose was amazed by the big blue diamond inside of it. A blue, heart-shaped diamond.

"Cal, it's beautiful, but I can't accept it." Cal looked at her strangely.

"What do you mean, you can't accept it?"

"Cal, I'm sorry to do this on our anniversary, but it's over. I don't want to continue this relationship anymore. Thanks for everything you have given me, and this beautiful diamond, but I can't take this relationship anymore. I'll give back every possession you gave me."

"No. Those are gifts I intend for you to keep. As for this diamond, it wouldn't look better on anyone else. I want you to have it."

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes. A last token of my love."

"Thank you. I will take great care of it. I'll leave now."

"I can take you home."

"No. I want to walk."

"As you please." Cal stood up kissed her on her cheek and paid for dinner. She placed the diamond in her coat pocket and left.

When she got outside, she looked around. She didn't wanna go home. So she decided to go whatever direction she walked in.

She walked for about an hour and found herself where she was yesterday. She saw a pub and found herself walking in that direction.

Christina was talking to Fabrizio and Tommy at the bar while she was on her break. She wondered where Jack was. He didn't come with them. She hadn't spoken to him since the night before.

"So, you guys bought stuff for tomorrow?" Fabrizio asked.

"Yeah! Great stuff!" Christina said.

"Yeah," Tommy agreed.

"So, is that all you guys did? Just shop?" Fabrizio asked.

"We actually went to go eat at Hong Kong City," she answered back.

"Yeah. We had the weirdest waiter. Every two seconds he'd take our order," Tommy said.

"Oh, my God. He was weird, and he brought us the wrong order. I think he is new."

"Must be," Tommy agreed.

"So, where's Jack?" Christina asked, all nervous.

"He's coming soon. He just had to run some errands. You know, go to work. Pay bills. Food shopping and shit," Fabrizio answered, knowing what had happened last night between those two. He saw Tommy look down.

"Oh. I just haven't spoken to him since last night." Christina tapped her fingers. She wanted to see him. Wanted to know what the kiss meant.

"I'll be right back. I have to go to the bathroom," Tommy said, leaving his hat on the table.

"Look, I know what happened between you and Jack last night. You guys had your little kiss."

"He told you?"

"No. I just looked through a peep hole." Christina rolled her eyes at his sarcasm. "Of course he fucking told me!"

"Oh, God. Is that why he didn't come with you and Tommy tonight? Is he gonna try to ignore me?" She was worried.

"Relax. He's not gonna do that. Just take it easy. He's just a little confused now. He'll come through. You'll see him tonight."

"Oh, God. I couldn't even face him this morning. I had to leave."

"Don't worry."

Tommy came back to the table and put his hat back on his head. "Some one threw up in the bathroom stall next to me. Fucking gross." Christina and Fabrizio were quiet.

"What's wrong with you two?" he asked.

"Nothing. Do we always have to talk or something?" Fabrizio asked.

"No. Just curious." Christina wasn't paying attention. Her mind wandered off.

"Christina!" Fabrizio yelled her name, and she snapped back into reality.

"Sorry. What'd you say?"

"I asked for another beer." Christina gave him one.

"Could I get one also?" Tommy asked. Christina poured his beer into a mug, and he winked at her. She smiled, lifted her head up, and saw Jack. Her heart began to pound. Tommy followed her gaze and saw Jack. He felt his heart skip, and jealous thoughts popped into his head.

Her heart began to warm up. Jack saw her and was making his way to her. But then she heard a woman yell. Jack stopped. She saw him walking into the direction of the woman. To a redhead.

*****

Jack came into the pub. His head was in different directions. His eyes searched for Christina, and he saw her at the bar. He didn't know what to say to her after last night. He saw that she was looking at him, also. His heart felt like it was jumping for joy. He started to make his way to her. When he almost was at the bar, he heard a women yell and saw man harassing a redheaded woman. He started to move in that direction.
