NEW DAY
Chapter Three
"So, are you ready?" Rose asked
after showers.
Jack nodded. "Yeah, let's go."
After lunch, Jack took Rose to the park.
"I've always loved coming to the park in
the fall," Rose said.
Jack watched Rose spin in the middle as the
leaves fell down around her. He wanted to run his fingers through her hair and
kiss her, but he knew better.
"I know," Jack replied.
"Let's go sit on the park bench,"
Rose said.
Jack followed her and sat down next to her.
"Rose, there's something I need to tell
you," Jack said.
Rose leaned toward him. "Yeah?"
"I...I...I..." Jack didn't finish,
he kissed Rose.
Rose pushed Jack away. "Don't Jack. I'm
with Keith. I love him."
Rose got up and walked away. He couldn't believe
it.
"You're so stupid, Jack," he said
to himself.
Jack got up and walked over back to his
trailer at the studio. He didn't know what else to do.

Rose sat down on her couch. Jack had actually
kissed her. She felt so stupid for not telling him how she felt. She knew they
would probably end up like all of the other couples, but there was something
about...
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Rose
expected Jack, but it was Keith.
"Hey, Rose," Keith said, hugging
her.
"Hey, you," Rose said, giving him a
kiss.
"So, what's going on?" Keith asked.
"Well, James thinks we're going to
finish up filming tomorrow or Friday, so that's a good thing," Rose said.
"That's a very good thing. Then I can
have you back home with me," Keith said.
"The premiere for the movie is set for
Japan on December twelfth," Rose said, then added. "And you will be
my date."
"It would be an honor," Keith said.
"And Jack kissed me," Rose said.
Keith's eyes turned cold. "He
what?"
"He just kissed me," Rose replied.
"And let me guess, you kissed back,
didn't you?" Keith asked, getting even more angry.
"Yes, I mean no," Rose said, now
looking down.
Keith grabbed her wrists. "I'll teach
you how to kiss back."
Keith kissed Rose, and forced his tongue into
her mouth, then started hitting her.
Rose tried to guard herself, but it was no
use.
Suddenly, he stopped.
"Next time, you'll remember how,"
he said, then kissed Rose's mouth and left.
Rose started crying. She had bruises on her
arms and her head hurt so bad. She didn't know how to face Jack after this.
