NEW DAY
Chapter Five
Rose opened the door to her trailer to find
Keith there, sitting down.
"I see you've finally settled in,"
Rose said, sarcastically.
"Rose, I'm..." Keith started.
"Sorry for nearly killing me? Keith, I
can't stand you anymore, and I want you to leave," Rose said. "And
never come near me again."
"Rose, you don't mean that," Keith
said.
"Oh, but I do. I mean this more than
anything," Rose said.
"Fine, but I can almost bet that in a
week, you'll be with that Dawson character," Keith said.
"So what if I am? You're not my
caretaker," Rose said.
Keith stood up, and walked out of the
trailer, leaving Rose in there to deal with her thoughts.
Rose picked up her phone and called Jack.
"Hello?" Jack said when he picked
up.
"Hey, you. I did it," Rose said.
"Thank God. He was going to kill you if
you stayed with him any longer," Jack replied.
"I know," Rose said.
"Rose, I never want to be anything more
than a friend to you," Jack said.
"I know," Rose replied.
"So, do you have a date for the
premiere?" Jack asked.
Rose smiled. "I think I could pencil you
in."
