FALLING INTO YOU
Prologue

Rose, Rachel, and Jessica are models.

They were going over to Paris for a photo shoot and press conference. They had their own private jet to take them over, and loved to go on these types of trips.

They loved doing the photo shoots in faraway lands, away from their New York studios. One of their favorite things to do was scoping out the boys. Rose was the only one that got lucky though, and the man seemed lucky also. One night, when he was showing the city to Rose, he was shot to death in front of the church. It was horrible. Rose was all shaken up over the situation. She wouldn't even talk to the police about it.

"Miss, we must know what happened," the detective said.

"I heard gunshots, and before I knew it he was on the ground, shot," Rose said through tears and stuttering. "I must speak with American detectives. I will feel comfortable that way."

"Well, uh--" the detective said.

"Please!" Rose said, interrupting.

"All right, but you'll have to deal with the coroner, and the police, then," the detective said.

"All right," Rose said, nodding her head.

"All right then, tomorrow you will have your American detective." And the detective got in his car and left.

"Miss." She heard a policeman behind her, tapping on her back. Rose turned around, and he handed her a little black velvet box.

"This was in his coat pocket. Would you like the rest of his accessories?" the policeman asked.

"Yes, please," Rose said.

"It will take us a while, though," the policeman said, and Rose just nodded her head. "If it is not too much trouble, we need your current phone number. To inform you of news about the murder."

"Yes, yes, of course." Rose wrote down the number, and handed it to the policeman.

"Thank you, miss," the policeman said and walked away.

Rose was pressured to open up the little box, but it came to her conclusion to open it. As she opened it, she wondered what it could be. She cried out loud to find an engagement ring in the case.

Just then, Rachel and Jessica drove up in the car after hearing the news. They saw Rose crying hysterically with the velvet case in her hand.

"Oh, Rose," Rachel said, as she hugged Rose.

"He was going to propose to me," Rose said, through tears.

Jessica hugged Rose, and said, "Shh, come on let's go to the hotel."

They carried Rose over to the car. On their way over to the hotel, Rose dried her tears. Taking the single diamond engagement ring out of the case, she slipped it on the rightfully placed finger. Rachel and Jessica saw what Rose had done, and they held back their sorrows.
