FALLING INTO YOU
Chapter Five

Rose was at the fountain where Jack told her to meet him.

He said that he had some things he wanted to tell her that were very important. Rose was curious about the important things that he wanted to tell her. Jack pulled up in his car, and he came over to where Rose was.

"Well, what is the very important news that you wanted to tell me?" Rose asked.

"So, you are sure that your fiance didn't talk much about the phone calls and stuff, right?" Jack asked.

Rose nodded her head, and said, "Yes, of course I am."

"Well, the thing is, is that when we were researching Hockley, he had his own gang. And your James was part of it," Jack said.

Rose's smile faded, and she shook her head in disbelief. "No, not my James," Rose said.

Jack nodded his head, and said, "Listen, I know that you won't believe this, but it's true."

Rose started to cry, saying, "No, not my James."

Jack took hold of Rose, and said, "Rose! Rose! Calm down!"

Rose started to calm down a little bit. "He wouldn't do that. James wasn't like that!" Rose said.

"Well, guess what, Rose, I bet you didn't think that he would die in the park, now, would you? We never know when we're going to go, or what is behind people. But I have tons of fingerprints, and research behind James, and he is part of Hockley's group. You can either believe it or not, but whichever one you choose, it is still real. And there is nothing you can do," Jack said.

Rose started to cry, and she hugged Jack. Jack petted Rose's hair that was half down.

Rose went back to her apartment, and she saw Rachel and Jessica there, waiting patiently.

"Well?" Jessica asked.

Rose shook her head, and set down her keys and purse. "No, it was really the case," Rose replied.

"Babe, don't walk away. Tell," Rachel said.

"James was part of this group that Hockley made. They think that's the reason that he died," Rose said.

"Oh, Rose, I'm sorry," Jessica said, patting Rose on the back.

"It's all right, remember? My heart belongs to James, and always will," Rose said, showing the engagement ring.

"Rose, if James could talk to you from heaven, he would say to you that you should go on with your life. Not sit around and mope," Rachel said.

"I'm not moping, and besides, I only have two weeks left...we only have two weeks left," Rose said.

"It's all right, Rose. They'll get him," Jessica said.

Rose nodded, and said, "I hope so."
