JACK AND ROSE: PRESENT TIME
Chapter Twenty-Two

Rose and Jack walked around the deck. It was so peaceful in the morning. The sun was shining, there couldn't be any problems, until now.

They pass Cal laying on one of the chairs. He gets up fast.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the little couple?" Cal laughed as he put his arm around Rose, which she immediately pulled off.

"Cal, just leave us alone," Rose said as she gave him a dirty stare. He got the idea.

Jack and Rose walked away. Cal started to chase them, he was calm, Just walking. But then Jack and Rose started to run, which made him run.

The three of them ran all around the ship. It took Cal forever to catch up, but he did.

Jack and Rose were trapped, it was a dead end hallway.

"Dawson, this isn't a game," Cal said as he punched Jack in the face, sending Jack flying to the ground.

Cal hit Jack a little harder than expected. Jack passed out on the floor.

"Well, Rose, it looks like it's just you and me," Cal said as he gently touched her cheek.

Rose bent down to her passed out boyfriend, only to be pulled up by a strong arm.

Cal pushed her against the wall. She looked deep into Cal's eyes, she saw nothing. Nothing good. All she saw was a mean, viscous man.

"Rose, you know I've been wanting this for a long time," Cal said as he attempted to grab her.

Cal got thrown to the ground and kicked several times.

"You son of a bitch!" Jack yelled as he kicked Cal one last time.

Rose clung to Jack. They were just about to leave when they turned around and saw a police man that worked on the ship.

"I saw the whole thing," he muttered. "Son, you were trying to kill this man," he said, looking at Jack.

"But...he didn't do any harm. He started it!" Rose said as she pointed at Cal. "He tried to grab me!"

The police man chuckled. "It looks like you were the one hitting on him."

Rose was shocked. She stood there clutching Jack's hand until the police man separated them. He dragged Jack to his office, with Rose following.

Once they got there Rose said, "Now listen here! I'm Rose DeWitt Bukater and I..." but she couldn't finish her sentence.

"Is Ross Bukater your uncle?" he asked.

Rose smiled. "Yes he is, do you know him?"

"Well, he's one of the most powerful men in California. Are you sure he's your uncle?" he asked sheepishly.

"Yes, I bet he'll be plenty angry when he finds out you arrested his niece's boyfriend!"

The police man smiled shyly. He unlocked Jack from his hand cuffs and said, "Get out of here."

Later that night...

Cal came rushing in the police man's office.

"I thought I told you to arrest Jack Dawson!" he yelled as he threw a book at the police man.

"I'm sorry, but I..."

Cal glared at him. "Well I gave you a lot of money, rich man. But, I guess that you won't have it anymore," Cal said as he took the check off of his desk and ripped it up and wrote 'void' on it and left the office.

He needed to take care of his good friend Jack once and for all.
