JACK AND ROSE: PRESENT TIME
Chapter Thirty-One

Rose sighed as her Math teacher said they were going to receive their tests back. Rose wouldn't be the least bit suprised if she flunked it. She looked over to Jack who held up his test. She could see the big F in red.

Rose gave him a reassuring expression. Jack just smiled as he crumbled up his test and threw it into the trash can. Rose knew Jack didn't get that well of grades from seeing his last report card. All Cs except for P.E.

Rose said a little prayer to God. "Here, you go," her teacher said. Rose looked at it. It was a C+. Not too bad. She held it up for Jack to see. He game her the thumbs up sign and laughed at his now crumbled up test laying in the trash.

The bell rang and Jack raced over to Rose. "I'm happy with this grade," Rose said as she put her paper into her folder.

"Yeah," Jack said. "But, you're smart. You could have done better. I'm dumb, I'm just happy I'm not flunking 10th grade."

Rose frowned. "Jack, you're not dumb. You're really bright. You, just don't like to study."

"Becasue I spend all my time studying you," Jack said as he winked at her.

Rose gave him a kiss on the cheek and they walked out of the classroom together, hand in hand.

Dominique ran up to them in the hall. "Hey you two love birds," she said happily.

"Hey Dom," Rose said.

"Rose," Dominique started. "I found the most perfect dress for your mother's wedding."

"That's great Dom," Rose said.

"Will you come with me to pick it up with me after school? I'm dying for you to see it!"

"Sure," Rose said.

"I gotta go," Dominique said. "I'll call you Rose."

As Dominique walked away Jack said, "I still can't believe they're getting married."

"I hope they find happiness. Wait Jack...if they get married they're gonna want to live together, right?"

Jack nodded, not really seeing the point.

"Well, won't we be living with them?" Rose asked.

Jack nodded, they looked stunned. "We'll have too!" Jack said with a big smile on his face. He gave Rose a hug. Things were going to work out, they thought.
