JACK AND ROSE: PRESENT TIME
Chapter
Forty-Two
Jack was really
excited. It was finally Rose's 16th birthday. He was throwing her a big suprise
party at their house. Even though Ruth was sad to be away on Rose's birthday,
Jack was kind of glad that his uncle and Ruth were still on their honeymoon. It
was going to work out perfect.
Rose and Jack had
just finished dinner, and Rose thought they were just going to go home and
watch T.V. She had no idea what was going on. Jack loved it!
Jack and Rose
walked up to their dark house. Jack couldn't wait to see the look on Rose's
face. He already saw her face when he gave her his present...her expression was
priceless. He had bought her a promise ring. It had a gold band with a small
diamond. It was beauitful.
Jack put the ky in
the hole and turned on the lights.
"Suprise!"
over 50 teens yelled. Rose put her hands over her mouth in shock. She playfully
hit Jack.
"You
suprised?" Jack asked. Rose just nodded.
Katie and Matt came
over to Rose. "Happy birthday," they said.
"Thanks..."
Jack kissed Rose on
the top of her head, like he often did. "Happy birthday," Jack
wispered in her ear, making her smile.
"Thank
you," she wispered back.
"Hey
Rose," Dominique said. "Happy birthday!" Dominique gave Rose a
hug.
After the party
started going, it was awesome! Everybody was dancing and having a good time.
Rose loved all of the gifts she got! Tommy gave her a really cute big stuffed
animal bear. Rose thought it was really cute, but the cuttest thing about it
was the bear's tag said it's name was Jack. Tommy got a kick out of that!
Fabrizio got Rose a
new pair of sunglasses, which she really liked. Dominique got her two awesome
shirts, a bracelet, and a key chain that said, "It's not the length, it's
not the size, it's how many times you can make it rise." Rose thought it
was hilarious.
And, Alexia got her
this really cute pillow for her bed. It was really big and it was shaped in a
flower. Rose loved it! She was so glad that Alexia really fit in with the
group.
Around midnight,
everybody went home, except for Tommy, Fabrizio, Dominique, and Alexia.
"Thanks again
you guys!" Rose said. She was so lucky to have such great friends.
"It's not
over," Jack said. "Your mother and John said that I should give you
their present," Jack said in excitement. "Come on everybody!"
Jack said as he led his five friends out the back door.
Rose gasped at what
she saw. Then she screamed. "Oh my gosh!" Rose looked at all of her
friends, who had the same expressions on their faces. Fabrizio took a picture
with his camera.
"That jeep is
awesome!" Fabrizio said. It was! It was light blue and brand new.
"I can't
believe they got this for me!" Rose said. She went over and jumped into
Jack's arms. "You helped them pick it out, didn't you?"
Jack nodded.
"Well, I knew how bad you wanted it when you saw it."
Rose gave him a
kiss. "Thank you for the best birthday ever!"
Jack smiled and
kissed her back. "I'm glad that you had a good time."
"I'll show you
how thankful I am a little later," Rose said.
"Where did you
get such a naughty mind?" Jack asked with a laugh.
"From my
naughty boyfriend."
