JACK AND ROSE: PRESENT TIME
Chapter Sixty-Seven

Rose woke up, startled. She had that same dream again! Ever since she found out about her dad, she had dreams of him being murdered. It had been a week since she found out, and that was still all she could think about.

Rose looked around her. All of her friends were sleeping. They had all spent the night at Dominique's, like always. Rose tried to hold back her tears, but she couldn't. Every time she pictured her father...

"Daddy," Rose whispered to herself. "Why were you murdered?"

"Rose?"

Rose turned around and saw Tommy peaking out of his sleeping bag. She wiped away her tears as fast as she could. She didn't want anyone else to find out about her father's death. Especially not her best friends.

"Rose, what's wrong?" Tommy whispered.

"Nothing...go back to sleep. I'm fine..."

"I heard what you said," Tommy said. "You were talking to your dad."

Rose's heart began to beat faster. "No I wasn't."

"I know, Rose," Tommy said. "I heard you."

Rose, then started to burst ito tears. She tried not too, but she couldn't stop. Tommy climbed out of his sleeping back and sat next to Rose. He put his arm around her and tried to make her stop crying.

"Rose," Tommy said. "It's okay. Don't cry."

Rose didn't want to cry. She wanted to forget everything bad that had happened to her father. Was that possible?

"Shh...we don't want Fabrizio waking up," Tommy mumbled as Rose laughed.

"See," Tommy said. "You're feeling better all ready!"

Tommy hugged her with his one arm and got back into his sleeping back. "You need to get back to sleep, Rose," Tommy said. "I bet Dominique will make you take her shopping in the morning."

Rose smiled. "You know us all to well."

Dominique and Jack were the first ones to wake up that morning. "Jack," Dominique started. "Is something wrong with Rose? She hasn't been being herself lately."

Jack looked up at Rose's best friend. "Yeah...I don't think she's been feeling all to well lately."

Dominique nodded. "I have an idea! We should get everyone and go somewhere today!"

Jack smiled. "Like where?"

"Hmm," Dominique thought. "How about Six Flags?"

"I dunno Dom," Jack said.

"Listen, I have like tons of free passes to go there. I mean, I've only been there once."

"Okay," Jack replied. "Let's try to talk everyone into going."

So, that day the whole group set out to go to Six Flags. They were leaving early so they could get there right when it opened. They were all going in Dominique's parent's van.

"Come on, Fabrizio!" Dominique yelled from his driveway.

Fabrizio came running out of his house. He got into the car and sat next to Tommy. Alexia sat next to Dominique in the front, since Alexia knew exactly were Six Flags was at. Jack and Rose sat in the way back.

"You okay, Rosey?" Jack asked as he watched Rose stare off into space.

"Yeah...I'm fine."

Jack smiled. "Well, I'll bet you'll forget all of your problems on the roller coaster."

Rose's face went into shock. "There's something you should know, Jack."

"What?"

"I've never been on a roller coaster."

This time, Jack's face went into shock. "You've never been...what about the one in Santa Monica?"

Rose shook her head. "What can I say? I'm terrified of them."

Jack gave Rose a slight kiss. "Well, there's a first time for everything."

A couple hours later, they were there. After they got in, the first place they went was to the biggest roller coaster.

"Do we have to start off with this one?" Rose asked.

"Rose," Alexia said. "I have been on every thing here..."

"You've been on everyone here," Dominique said with a laugh.

Alexia rolled her eyes. "Anyways, none of them are that scary. I promise."

"Okay..."

The line was long, but not as long as usual. Luckily, it was a cloudy day and not that many people were there.

They all got into one of the carts. Jack sat next to Rose, Alexia sat by Fabrizio, and Dominique sat by Tommy.

Jack looked at his girlfriend's horrified face as the ride started to begin. Jack took Rose's hand and held it.

"Jack," Rose said. "If I die, and you live...remember I want a big funeral."

Jack squeezed her hand. "It's okay."

They started to go up a hill, slowly. "Why's it going to slow?" Rose asked.

Tommy turned around and looked at Jack and Rose. "Because they're building suspense for the big fall."

Now, Rose started to panic. As they reached the top of the hill, they could all see the gigantic fall they were about to witness. Rose looked at Jack who had his arms up in the air.

Rose pulled down both of his arms. "Are you Crazy!!"

Then...they started to fall down the steep hill. Jack could sense Rose's fear. He put both of his arms around Rose and started to scream as they went down so many feet. Everyone was screaming. Rose had her eyes shut and had never felt this way in her life. She thought she would die.

Finally the hill ended, only to go into another one. "Jack!" Rose screamed.

"It's almost over, Rose," Jack said as he squeezed his arms around her even more. Rose had never been so scared in her life! Not even when she was attacked by Tony. This was SCARY.

As the ride was over Jack looked at Rose's expression. It was priceless. "You...okay Rose?" He asked softly.

Rose just nodded. She thanked God she got off of that thing alive. They all walked off and back to all the rides.

"Tommy...you feeling okay?" Fabrizio asked.

Tommy looked at him and then threw up all over Dominique's feet.

"Tommy! These are new sandals!" Dominique exclaimed.

"Are you okay, Tommy?" Rose asked.

Tommy nodded. "What do you want to get on next?"

"I don't think you should ride anything else, Tommy," Alexia said.

"You guys," Jack said. "Last time when Tommy and I came here he threw up seven times and continued riding everything. That's just what he does."

"Great," Dominique replied as she scraped her sandals against the curb.
