Rose looked out her window. The Keldysh was not one of the finest ships she had been on. Titanic held that title, but it would do. Rose sighed as she remembered the story she had told. Of Jack. Rose had never stopped loving Jack. When she married, she had never loved her husband as much as she loved Jack. Rose smiled as she thought of what she had just told the men on board.
I'm flying, Jack...
That wasn't the only time Rose had flown. She remembered when she first flew in an airplane. Rose looked lovingly at all of her pictures.
Why can't I be like you Jack? Just head out over the horizon whenever I feel like it...
Rose had. She had fulfilled their wishes, by herself. Rose didn't mind. She knew Jack was with her, in a way.
You have a gift, Jack. You do. You see people.
I see you...
Others had seen Rose as well. Directors and such. She had been an actress like she always wanted. She walked over to her purse and pulled out something. She headed to the stern of the ship.
Don't do it.
Stay back! Don't come any closer. I'm warning you, I'll let go.
No you won't...
Rose opened her hand to reveal the Heart of the Ocean.
I want you to draw me like one of your French girls, wearing this.
All right.
Wearing only this...
That was one of Rose's favorite memories. She looked at the ocean as she dangled the necklace over the edge of the ship.
I believe you are blushing, Mr. Big Artiste...
Rose looked at the necklace one more time, capturing all its memories.
Put your hands on me, Jack...
Rose grinned and dropped the necklace where it belonged. She walked slowly back to her room, feeling quite giddy.
C'mon, we're gonna have to get a bit closer, like this.
I don't know the steps.
Neither do I. Just go with it...
As Rose shut the door, she suddenly felt very tired. She laid down in her bed. Before she fell asleep, she remembered one last thing.
Make it count...
The End.
