THE TIME SAVER
Epilogue
Jack woke up, and saw two kids lying beside
him.
"What?" Jack asked, and got out of
bed. He looked out the window, and noticed the ocean. "Oh, dear Lord,
where am I?" Jack asked.
"1964 Ocean Street, Santa Monica,
California, 90404," the boy said, jumping up and down on the bed.
Jack turned around, and said, "Oh, thank
you."
"Daddy, you silly!" the other boy
said.
"Pete, John! What have I told you about
jumping on the bed!" a woman's voice yelled from downstairs.
Jack was curious, and he followed the voice.
"Rose?" Jack yelled.
"Well, good morning, sleepyhead!"
Rose yelled from downstairs.
Jack smiled and ran down to see her. She
looked the same, except her clothes were up-to-date.
"Will you watch the kids after
breakfast? I need to get ready for Frank's birthday," Rose said.
Jack nodded his head. "Okay." Jack
held his head for a moment and collected his thoughts. "Okay, I was on
Titanic, I think. Then, I felt dizzy, and now I'm here."
There was a knock the door, and Jack answered
it. "Good morning." It was Franklin.
"Franklin?" Jack asked.
"Nice dream, Jack," Franklin said,
and looked around.
"Thanks," Jack said.
"No, don't thank me, Jack. You are the
one that made this happen, not me."
"If I knew that sooner I would have done
this earlier," Jack said with a laugh.
