At fourteen, Queen Amidala rules over the Naboo people with the freshness of her young years and the efficiency of a true leader. Through her rigorous training, Amidala has demonstrated her dedication to the well-being of Naboo, and she has quickly earned the trust and loyalty of the people who elected her.
The Queen attends her world’s needs and addresses the concerns of her subjects, ruling from her palace in the capital city of Theed. However, Amidala’s regal presence is sometimes required at offworld political gatherings. In such occasions, it is customary for the Queen’s handmaidens to follow their monarch and assist her, as well as for Captain Panaka to provide additional protection with a team of guards specially trained for offworld duty.-Taken from Star Wars-The offical Site. Queen Amidala's History
Amidala was born to farming couple in the Natal
Highlands and her beauty and knowaledge was quickly seen and she moved
to Theed at the age of six. While she spent her years in Theed she was
raised by her maternal
grandmother Winama. Amidala says that her grandmother
or Winni as she calls her was the one who taught her all that she knew,
those words where spoken in a speech that msot belive is how she was elected.
Winama died a few weeks before Amidala's inaugeration.
In Episode 1 Amidala is faced with her hardest
struggle yet. Her planet is under blockade and is being envaded by the
Trade Federation. Queen Amidala and Her Handmaidens are resuced by Qui-Gon
Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. They convince the Queen she must return with them
to Coruscant as the Trade Federation won't listen to her. While leaving
Naboo the Queen's starship is damaged and they are have to make an emergency
landing in order to fix thier ship. They land on a small dessert planet
called Tattooine. Qui-Gon heads into the city to see if he can find what
he needs to fix thier ship.
Amidala slips in to her disguise as Padme` Naberrie.
0 Being as a Handmaiden allows Amidala the ability to explore the desert
world of Tatooine and is not in danger by any given force.
While searching for parts for thier ship in the
small town of Mos Espa, Amidala meets Anakin Skywalker. A few days
later Anakin wins the Podrace to gain the nescescary money for the parts
for thier ship. Anakin is freed from his slavary and continues his
journey with Master Jinn.
Amidala pleads her case before the senate there
who is un-willing to help claiming there is no proof of the invasion.
She manages to have a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum, making
the way for Palpatine to become Chancellor and later declare himself Emperor.
However, greatly distressed by the situation back
home on Naboo Amidala returns to Naboo to free her people from the Trade
Federation. There Amidala's true identity is revealed and her secret
desguise is no longer.
With help from the gungans and the Jedi they succesfully
defeat the TF and Naboo is no longer under siege.
A grand celebration was held on the streets of
Naboo and peace was declared between teh Gungans and the Nabooian people.
