Barry Nelson was born Robert Nielson on Apr. 16th 1920 in San Francisco California. He started acting at the age of 21. That year, he starred in two movies, Dr. Kildare's Victory and The Shadow of the Thin Man. He went on to star in many movies, and has appeared on TV many, many times.
If someone asks you who your favorite actor is, not many people are going to say Barry Nelson. However, he is a successful actor in his own right, and was the first man to visually portray James Bond. He did so in the 1954 TV movie Casino Royale. Casino Royale is the forgotten Bond movie. It is unofficial, but it is an important part in Bond's history. For more information on Casino Royale, go to my movie page.
