Bond felt the floor give way under him, and he fell eight feet into a pit. Bond felt a sharp pain in his left leg, but he didn’t dwell on it for even a split second. His expert mind quickly assessed the situation. He had just fallen through a trap door, and that trap door was now closing. He would be trapped if he didn’t act fast.
Almost at the same second he hit the ground he was standing up and jumping for the ground above. He pulled himself up, and his legs cleared the rapidly closing trap door by mere inches.
Bond lay on the ground. Now that he was out of immediate danger the pain finally hit him. His head was spinning and he was on the verge of nausea. His leg was surely broken. To make matters worse, he was in total darkness. He had dropped his lighter in the pit, and it would probably remain there forever. Bond forced himself to his feet, and began to grope his way back through the passage, toward the entrance chamber. Fortunately, he still had his pack, which contained his pickax. He could begin to dig his way outside. He could only hope that Indiana would somehow catch up with Grimson.

Looks like the score is: BOND= 0  JONES= 1   WINNER= Jones
