Career/History: Jude began acting with the National Youth Music Theatre at the age of 12, and at 17 he dropped out of school to star in the television soap opera "Families." In 1992, he began his stage career. He has starred in numerous London plays, and was nominated for an Olivier Award in the Outstanding Newcomer category. While his first performances of the play "Indiscretions" were in London, he later moved, and did the play on Broadway, starring with Kathleen Turner. He received a Tony nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and was rewarded the Theatre World Award. After his brush with Broadway, he began acting in independent films. His first major movie was Gattaca, with Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, and he also had a considerable role in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. In 2000, he appeared in People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful" list. His latest blockbuster is The Talented Mr. Ripley. Jude is also a partner in the production company Natural Nylon, with Johnny Lee Miller, Ewan McGregor, and his wife Sadie Frost. He and Sadie are expecting their next child in November 2000.
