I Can't Sleep (2002)

Scott's follow-up to his most successful film yet, "The Corpse", tells the story of reporter Alex Hudson (Scott), who suffers from chronic insomnia that keeps him weary most of the time. One night while he is unable to sleep, he leaves his wife Bessie (a big-boobied former porno star)in bed to wind down in the living room. Upon his return, his wife has vanished without a trace! Despite the efforts of police and friends, which include his mistress Abby Stone (Melissa H. Green), clues are few and far between. As his friends start to vanish, he soon discovers that the answers to what he is seeking are right there under his nose.

Behind The Scenes:

"This isn't one of the best films I've made." remarks Scott on I CAN'T SLEEP. "While it turned out decent for what it was worth, it wasn't much out of the ordinary from your typical mystery, with some erotic twists thrown in for good measure."
Scott's friend Steven R. Bassett co-produced this, he also served as a producer on "The Corpse" and "Room Temperature".
"Looking back on this film, one of the things I love the most was the reporter's headlines that were on the wall behind his computer. BOY DIES BY SIZZLING, for example. Loved that! I would have liked to get Tim Arthur in on this film, I think he would have fit the role of the skeptical Detective Alderman pretty well. But since he had just appeared in 'The Corpse', he needed to take a powder."
