And I saw, and look, a Lamb standing on Mount Sion and with him a hundred and forty four thousand having the name of his Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound out of heaven like a sound of many waters and like a sound of great thunder, and I heard a sound of harpers harping with their harps. And they sing like a new song in front of the throne, and in front of the four animals and the elders. And no one was able to learn the song, except the hundred and forty four thousand, the ones bought from the earth. These are they who were not polluted with women for they are virgins: these are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were purchased from among men, first fruits to God and to the Lamb; and deceit was not found in their mouth for they are blameless before the throne of God.
And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven having the everlasting joyful news to proclaim to the ones living on the earth and every nation and tribe and tongue and people, saying with a loud voice,
“Fear God and give him glory because the hour of his judgement has come, and worship him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters!”
And another angel followed saying,
“It’s fallen! Babylon the great city has fallen because she’s given all nations to drink out of the wine of the fury of her fornication.”
And a third angel followed them saying in a loud voice,
“If anyone worships the beast and its icon and receives an engraving on his forehead or on his hand, he will also drink out of the wine of the fury of God which is already poured out undiluted in the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented in fire and sulphur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever, and the ones worshipping the beast and its icon have no respite day and night, nor anyone receiving the engraving of its name. Here is the patience of the saints, here the ones keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
And I heard a voice out of heaven telling me,
“Write, ‘Blessed the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes says the Spirit, so that they may rest from their labours, and their works follow them.’”
And I saw, and look, a white cloud and on the cloud one like the Son of Man sitting, having on his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to the one sitting on the cloud,
“Put in your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come to you because the harvest of the earth is ready.”
And the one sitting on the cloud put in his sickle onto the earth, and the earth was reaped.
And another angel came out of the temple, which is in heaven, he too having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the altar, having power over fire, and he shouted out with a loud cry to the one having the sharp sickle saying,
“Put in your sharp sickle and gather the bunches of the vine of the earth, because her grapes are completely ripe.”
And the angel put in his sickle into the earth and harvested the vine of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the fury of God. And the winepress was trodden outside the city and blood came out from the winepress up to the bits of the horses for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
