ROYAL INNISKILLING FUSILIERS

Grave at St. Mary's Churchyard, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland :

"Sacred to the memory of Patrick Kavanagh who for 18 years was Sergeant Major of the Tipperary Light Infantry
and formerly Sergeant Major 27th Inniskillings. Died October 1st 1881 aged 59 years. This monument is erected to his memory
by the Officers and Permanent Staff Tipperary Light Infantry as a mark of the high respect in which he was held by them
as a good soldier and an honourable man."

Private Freeney - died at Peshawar - 19 Nov 1897. Aged 23 yrs
Private Greer - died at Nowshera - 18 May 1897. Aged 23 yrs
Erected by F Company 2nd Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers."

This stone was erected by the Corporals and Lance Corporals of the 2nd Battalion
Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers as a token of esteem and respect to their brother NCOs who died at Peshawar."
