"Brian!" Nick said while knocking on Brian's bedroom door the next day.

"Yeah come in!"

"Hey man I didn't get to talk to ya yesterday. How did everything go with what's her name...Paige?" Nick asked all smiles trying to think of the girls name.

"Great! I'm gonna go back out with her today. It's still pretty early it's what noon? Damn what are you doing up?" Brian laughed.

Nick smirked and sat down on Brian's bed. "Just in a good mood I guess. I dunno."

"Man you haven't been this happy in months. What happened?"

"Brian-" Nick said while putting his hand on Brian's shoulder. "You've been replaced."

He raised an eyebrow. "Replaced huh?"

"Yeah I got my Abbey back!"

"Man that's great! As for the being replaced thing..don't worry about it. I have a feeling I won't be around much with Paige here. I'm also looking for a place of my own in my free time." Brian grinned.

"You know you can stay here as long as you want! Well, that's good for you I'm glad you found somebody..." Nick said. He really didn't want to talk about this but Brian was one of his best friend's.

"Yeah me too. But ya know what I don't wanna talk about that right now." Brian said sensing there was something wrong with Nick. Yet he was still so happy.

"Uh Nick there's something I've been meaning to ask you."

"Shoot!"

"Are you over Bailey?"

Nick's face fell. "Do you think I am?" Brian put his head down. "Well, that's your answer. I still think about her everyday. How I just let her go."

Brian then looked at Nick. "I told her?"

"Told who what?"

"I told Mac about Bailey." Brian said quietly. Almost too quietly that Nick almost didn't hear him.

"Brian..." Nick started but he was cut off.

"NO! We were looking for a room for her when we got here and I opened the door totally forgetting about Bailey and I told her. I know it wasn't my place but she was looking for answers and I gave them to her."

"She never mentioned anything to me about it."

"I told her not to. I didn't want it to trigger anything."

"Yeah I guess your right. It's fine."

"Good! I don't want you mad at me! Who else would I torture?" Brian laughed.

"Hey there's always AJ!"

A little while later Nick knocked on Mac's door to see if! she wanted to do anything with him that day.

"Abbey open up the damn door!" Nick yelled. He could hear load music coming from the room. He decided to just walk in and see what was up.

When he walked in he saw her dancing around in a towel to "Uptown Girl" with her eyes closed. So she didn't see him. 'Maybe I shouldn't have come in here.' He took one last look at her. 'Then again...' He smirked. Nick then walked over to the radio without her seeing him and turned it off. She whirled around to the radio to see what was going on and saw Nick standing there smirking.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?" She yelled. She wasn't mad at him though.

"I came to see if you wanted to do something with me today. We have lots of catching up to do. I thought maybe we would go out on my boat, order pizza."

"Uh yeah sure let me get dressed first. Is Brian comin to?"

Nick shook his head. "Naw he's goin out with Paige today."

"Wow again? They must really be hitting it off." She said while feeling weird standing by him in a towel. "Uh Nick could you leave?"

"Huh?" He smiled. "Oh yeah um...just change into your suit and some clothes over it and I'll go put an order in for pizza. It's gonna be awhile till it's ready so take your time." Nick said while closing the door and heading to the phone to place the pizza order.

Meanwhile upstairs Mac pulled out her swim suit, a tank top, and shorts and put them on. She then headed downstairs to see Nick watching TV.

"Do you ever give that thing a rest? You are always either watching TV or playing video games." She smirked while sitting down next to him on the couch.

"I am not!" She gave him a look. "Okay so yeah I am. What else do you want me to do? Brian's gone all the time and we weren't talking..I guess I just got used to it."

"Ahh yeah that explains it." She said while rolling her eyes.

"Are you calling me a liar?" Nick asked.

"No way not you. You don't lie!" She said sarcastically.

Nick was about to jump at her when the door bell rang. "Oh you have no idea how lucky you are." Nick mumbled while walking to the door. Mac just stuck her tongue out at him.

"I SAW THAT!" She just laughed.

"Nick I hate you! I haven't pigged out this much in a long time." They had been sitting out there for over a half hour eating pizza.

"What do you mean?" Nick asked while taking another bite of his pizza. They were on Nick's boat. When they got out there they stopped at a spot far out on the water where nobody would see them and just enjoyed each others company. They both had stripped down to their bathing suites sitting with their legs over the side of the boat and when they were done eating they were going to go swimming.

"I don't eat like this. Hell I can't eat like this!"

"Why not?"

"Well, you knew me when I was younger. I was over weight. Not everybody can eat like you and dance it off at rehearsal."

"Yeah. Well, I didn't think you looked too bad." Nick said trying to make her feel better. "I used to think you were kinda cute. But then again I was a kid and didn't know any better..." He smirked.

"Thanks Nick! . But the thing was I just wasn't happy with myself. I'm a firm believer in the saying if your not happy with yourself then either change it or leave it. When I was in high school I decided to do something about it. I went on a diet and lost lots of weight. I started eating right and dancing and her I am! I started taking dance classes. I only do it for fun though."

"Well, you don't look too bad to me now." He smirked looking down at her in her two piece bathing suit.

Mac just playfully slapped him. "Gee thanks!"

"No problem Babe!" Mac raised an eyebrow. "Hey you wanna go swimming?" Nick asked while whipping his hands with a napkin.

"Shouldn't we wait?" Mac asked concerned.

"Abbey have you ever known me to wait to swim after dinner?"

"No."

"Well, then there ya go!" Nick said before jumping in. "Come on in! It's warm I promise!"

"Gimmie a few minutes for my stomach to settle."

Nick just nodded and turned around to swim under water. Mac got up to turn on the radio Nick had on his boat and found a station playing "I Want It That Way." Mac laughed. "Hey Nick! Their playing your song!" She turned it up louder and went back to her seat but this time laying down to get some sun. Her legs still hanging down the side. About 10 minutes later after Nick was done swimming around he hadn't heard from Mac much so he decided to stop infront of her. He looked up and to see she was sleeping.

Nick smirked. 'I'll give her a wake up call she'll never forget!' Nick thought. He then grabbed onto her legs and pulled her into the water. Never hearing her scream. But she also took him under with her.

They both came up sputtering but Nick w! as laughing. "Ugh I can't believe you did that! You jerk!" She said shoving him. She then turned around as if she were mad at him but smiled knowing he couldn't see her.

Nick looked sad. "Come on Abs it was only a joke! I didn't mean for you to get mad at me!" He said wrapping him arms around her from behind to give her a hug.

"Ugh Nick your squashing me! Let go!" She laughed. "No, I'm not mad at you." She said turning around.

Nick smiled. "Good I was worried there for a sec." He said still holding her in his arms.

"Uh Nick I've been meaning to talk to you about this for a while now since ya know were best friend's again and all. Brian told me about-"

"Bailey?" Nick sighed. "Yeah he told me this morning he talked to you about it."

"Was it really that hard?" Mac asked already knowing the answer.

"Yeah like you couldn't imagine." Nick said quietly letting go of Mac and heading back to the boat.

Mac sighed and swam back over there too to see Nick drying off. She got back on the boat and started to talk. "Nick I didn't mean to bring up such a sensitive subject. I'm sorry."

Nick turned to her. "It's okay really don't worry about it I guess it's just cause it hurts to talk about it." He then handed her a towel to dry off with.

"Where to next?" Nick asked trying to change the subject.

"OOH! Let's rent a movie!"

Nick laughed. "You got it!" With that the boat headed off from it's spot back to Nick's house.

By the time they got back to Nick's they were relatively dry and decided to just stick on their clothes and leave since Nick already had the keys to his car.

Walking into Blockbuster Mac ran straight to the New Releases with Nick following closely behind. She scanned the racks until she found what she was looking for. "YES! They have it!" She shouted holding up the movie for Nick to see.

"Hannibal?" Nick asked. "You wanna see Hannibal?" For some reason he looked hesitant.

"Yeah I didn't get a chance when it was out in theaters. Oh come on you know you wanna see it!"

He sighed. "Fine! But if I get nightmares it's your fault!"

"Deal!" She smiled and walked over to the table and Nick paid for the video.

"AHHHHHHH!" Mac screamed. It was later that night after they had watched the movie. They had also watched Scream. Although that wasn't as bad as Hannibal.

Mac had just woken up from a bad dream. 'No that wasn't a bad dream that was a nightmare.' Mac thought. She had sweat poring down her face and she was breathing heavy. For about ten minutes she tried to get back to sleep but found she couldn't.

Getting up she mad her way to the door and over to Nick's room. His door was shut but she could hear music coming faintly from behind it. Knocking she waited for a response getting none. Mac decided to open his door anyway and saw Nick sleeping in his bed in only his boxers on his stomach and his blankets all pushed aside snoring lightly. Mackenzie smiled.

'God I hate to do this.' She thought before nudging Nick to try and wake up. "Nick." She whispered. Nothing. "Nick!" Mac said a little louder still getting nothing. "NICKUMS!" She yelled hoping to get some type of a response out of him but still g! ot nothing. She sighed. 'Man this is worse than when we were kids.'

Mac grinned. 'HA! I got it!' She then turned around as if she were leaving then when she got half way to the door turned back around and jumped on Nick. "Ugh!" Nick grounded and slightly looked up. After he saw who was there he put his back head down. "What are you doing?"

"I had a bad dream." She said childishly. "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Mac asked.

"Sure." He said while reaching behind him for the blankets. "Uh your gonna have to get off of me though."

Mac smiled, rolled off him and over to his left. Nick covered then both with the blanket then returned to his position.

"And here we thought I would be the one with the nightmares." Nick said talking into his pillow.

"Shut up! Gosh this reminds me of when we were younger. You remember when we used to have the sleep over and we would sleep in each others beds?"

Nick laughed and turned around to face Mac. "Oh yeah! I remember that one time you were like spazing out of something and kicked me off the bed. That hurt too!"

"I still don't remember what happened. Anyway go to sleep!" Mac said looking at him. "See ya in the morning!" With that she rolled over on her side leaving Nick looking at her back thinking. "Yeah goodnight..."
