What is 1X79SHIPPER about?

The 1X79SHIPPER mailing list is dedicated to a particular breed of 'X-Files' fans - shippers. The natural instinct of the humble shipper is to want nothing more than for Fox Mulder and Dana Scully to form a somewhat 'romantic', 'sexual' or 'anything other than working' relationship.

What is the purpose of the list?

This list is designed to bring shippers from all over the world together to form a friendly, comfortable and understanding community. We have such a great group of people at 1X79SHIPPER. If we get the odd unfriendly member they're soon booted off by me, as experienced in the past, no names mentioned, but I'm sure that veterans will know exactly who I'm talking about here. If another member is ever bothering you, just let me know privately and I'll sort 'em out! That's what mummies are for. We're all really good friends and although we do tend to go a bit OT (off-topic) sometimes, we've got a great bunch of members who are intelligent, (as are the majority of true XF fans) witty, (well, some of us, hehe) and downright weird! We have a number of very highly skilled fanfic authors, web designers, poets, and psychics. (Don't ask! PLEASE!!!) We're all the best of friends and we're always on the prowl for newbies. (Yum, yum!)

What do we aim to achieve?

Our mission contains three basic points:-

• to fight off noromos (those who wish for no change in the pair's relationship)
• to extinguish the sadistic Diana Fowley
• to get Mulder and Scully into bed! (Or at least for them to have a proper kiss, i.e. one which doesn't involve bees, clones, shapeshifters, time warps or anything else which might prove to be one of Chris Carter's craftily placed hoaxes

What is the purpose of the website?

The aim of the website is to provide a central place where prospective newbies, new newbies, not-so-new newbies, oldies, and veterans alike can come to find out details about the list and its members. The site will also contain links, pictures, fanfic and other things which we have recommended and / or produced ourselves. I intend to make this site a 'fountain of knowledge' for the members of 1X79SHIPPER.

There is also:-

• a purity test
• a bulletin board
• a search engine
• a chat room

... and in the near future there will be a lot more to look out for. Watch this space!

How popular is the list and how do you join?

This mailing list has been up and running since April 7th, 1999, and provides hoards of mail daily. We welcome newbies with open mout... arms! Click on the banner at the top of the page to join!

Who designed the website?

Although I have been putting the site together and choosing layouts, making banners, etc. we have all made an effort to make the website work and I would like to thank Lill for her help in choosing colour schemes, for making those fantabulous little buttons, and for organising the forthcoming episode reviews. I love ya honey. :-) I would also like to thank everybody who has advertised the website and the mailing list on their own personal website, your assistance is much appreciated. Thank you to all of the members of 1X79SHIPPER for your continued support in getting this site off the ground! Your time, dedication and patience should pay off in the end. I love you all, you guys are the best.
