2000 Southwest MS and Dixie National Livestock Show

Members of the Franklin County FFA Chapter competed in the Southwest District Livestock Show and the Dixie National Junior Round Up held in Jackson, Ms, February 1st through 9th. The members competed in different breed categories and FFA judging contest. On Saturday, February 5, all seniors in the Livestock program were recognized. They were Jolynne Laird, Kayla Norman, and Dusty Matthews. The FFA won 2nd place in the clean aisle contest. The junior livestock team placed 3rd in the district. Team members were Kristin Holland and Seth Shelton. Kristin Holland was high scoring individual in the district. The senior livestock team placed 3 rd in the district. Team members were Kayla Holland, Sarah Sullivan, Kayla Norman, and Samantha Zeigler. Teams will compete on the state level during State Contest Day in the spring.
