Desiree's Concert Review!

Place: Dallas, Tx at the COCA-COLA STARPLEX

Time: Wed July 29 1998 8:00

Seat: section-204 row-ss seat-29

My friend and I almost didn't get to go! We had are tickets but no car to travel 3 states to get to the concert. The car had been in the shop for 3 weeks and my mom didn't wan't to take my little car, so she told us we wasn't going. Lauren and I cry over the Internet together. The next day my mom comes up to me and said we are going to get your stuff and lets get out of here. We pack up my little car and we started to leave as the phone rings. Your car will be ready in one hour the person on the other side of the phone told my mom. We went to get the other car. One hour yeah right more like 3 hours. By the time we got the other car pack it was 6:00 pm. The ride to Texas was long and not to mention my sister dog wet Lauren's shorts, so she had to ride 1/3 of the way to Texas with no shorts. When we finily got to Texas it was 4:00 am the morning of the concert. We only got like 4 hours of sleep.

Later that morning we got ready for that night. I was a little excited but Lauren felt like nothing was happening. I began to come down as the day went on. At 4:30 we left for the concert. We got the guys a bear and a card. We told them how much they have been an Inspiration to us and how they are helping us make our dreams come true. We got to the starplex and there was no one our side. It was a long wait until the gates open so we took a walk to the other side. Lauren saw Angela hair so we ran to catch up to our friend. I thought we would never run into her. Than she told us that the tour bus was behind them and they saw Nick and Brian. (I'll let her tell you on her reveiw). Man the other side of the starplex was crowded. We went back to the other side and shortly after we were let in! To Lauren and I it didn't feel like it was happen. I got a BSB tee-shirt. We found our seats, they where closer than I thought they would be. We ran back into Angela. Lauren went to where they we sitting. She had to beg the guy to let her go talk to her. Than 5 min I went, I didn't have to do any begging. Before that me and Lauren was trying to find away to get our bear and card to the stage. No one would let us put our stuff up there and they wouldn't take it so they could give it to them. Ok, now back to Angela. A staff member had a card and a roes and was going to put it on the stage. I said hey Angie give me the bear. We ask the guys if they would put ours up there to. They did and it was the frist one on the stage. Angie got them to put her card up there too. I was looking at the other side of the sage and they were truning down people to put there stuff on the stage. Only about 8 people got there stuff on the stage. Lauren and I went walking again and we saw a big crowd. I wonder what they we doing. It was a radio staion guy from kiss 106.1. The guy said I guess everyone is from Texas and someone said Oklahoma, and we yelled out Mississippi. The guy look at us. At 7:30 we went to go get a hat but on the way, a guy came out and started to talk. AHH the concert starting, so we went back to our sits. Just as we were walking back AJ step out onto the stage. He was introducing Aaron Carter! Aaron put out a good little show. We were dancing and doing the movies he was telling us to do. We were the ones doing it in out section. So he was able to see us and he point to us and waves. So cool!! Two other bands came on.

Lauren and I was trying to get the fans to do stuff like yell out Backstreet Boys and we were always the last ones to quit chanting. Finally, it was time for the BSB to come out. Man it was so cool, Fireworks we going off on the stage and then the BSB apear. They started the concert with "Thats The Way I Like It" Everone behind us was looking at me and Lauren because we were singing and doing the dance to the songs. More than 80% of the people didn't know the songs that wasn't on the USA CD. We said the name of the song before they started singing the words. Everyone did a solo. Everyone put on a good solo. We saw AJ and we were like he going to sing "Lay Down Beside Me" and he did. If I was you I wouldn't trun away during this solo, or you just might miss the best dancing in the world. What AJ did took our breath away. Lauren knees went out on her! Nick did a great job on "Heavon In Your eyes". Brian did wonderful job on "Thats what she said". Kev came out on the stage with wangers on and a belt buckel that said Texas. Man did he look good. Howie, did a new song from the new cd that is coming out. He was so sweet, he was give out roeses. Man I wish I had closer seats. I will never forget this concert. It was my frist concert ever. Oh, on "All I Have To Give" Howie hit that hard to hit note. The guys look stun when he hit it. I guess he haded hit it in a while. I love every second of the concert and I would die to go back. It still doesn't even feel like I was there. It felt like a dream. It was way to go to be real. If you haven't gone, you just might want to try. You won't be disappointed. This has been one the best night of my life. I can't wait to see them again, but this time I hope I get closer seats! Well this is my story of the bsb concert I went to. I hope you enjoyed the story. Thanks! I'll get Angie to write up her review of what she saw from the 12 row!

Your Concert Reveiw

Tanea Concert Review-

September 4, 1998 Columbia, MD * Merriweather Post Pavilion

Ok since I'm from Virginia and I didn't know where I was going in the first place, I left extra early. So I left at around 8:30am and arrived at the Pavilion at around 11am. I was getting all these butterflies in my stomach. Well I thought since maybe it was the day of the concert they might have some extra pavilion seats left otherwise, I would be sittin' on the lawn along with 10,000 other folks. So they don't have anymore pavilion seats left so there's no use in me leaving, because I can't check into my hotel until 3pm anyways, so I just stayed along with a couple other people at the gate. It was about 5 of us standin' at the gate from 12pm until 3pm waitin' for an autograph. Needless, to say that didn't happen, which I'm still kinda ticked off at, but anyways. We were still there waitin', and the people that worked there were being so mean to us, and we weren't even doing anything. Then around 4:30p, this tall guy comes and asks if 10 girls would help pass out theses little free photo pamphlets. So I said, yeah because it sure beats sittin' by the gate for 2 more hours. So we got to go into the VIP entrance and get into the pavilion early. While we were waitin' we met this guy that works for the BackStreet Boys and we talked to him for a little while and he was really nice! Then we handed out the things for what seemed to be forever, we almost missed Aaron Carter. So after that, we finally found some pretty good lawn seats, and saw Aaron Carter perform. He is such a lil' cutieJ He was the only opening act, which was fine with me since I was ready to see the boys perform anyway. Then about 20 minutes later. The lights went out, and the Dj starts playin' "Mo Money, Mo Problems" and "Hypnotize" by Notorious B.I.G. so I was groovin' to the beat. Then he stops, and the band starts playin', the lights come on and the guys pop up on stage from these trap doors and start singin' "That's the Way I Like It"! Then they did this song called "If I Ever Fall In Love Again" acapella by Shai. It was so good!It was so phat. After that the start dancin to this mix of "All About the Benjamins", "Don't Wanna Be a Player", "Money, Power, Respect", "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See", and "Too Close". I should mention that these are among my favorite songs so I was going crazy on the lawn. I would've jumped on stage and started dancin' with them if it hadn't been for the 95 bodyguards, police, and securityJ Then they went off stage for a costume change then each one came out for their little solo. They are very talented. Then They played "Quit Playin' Games With My Heart". Kevin played keyboards, Brian on bongos, Howie D. and A.J. on guitars, and lil' Nicky Carter on drums. They can really play too. They sang a couple more songs. Had costume changes. Sang a couple more songs. Then the finale came. The played the video "Everybody" on the large screens, then this grim reaper thing came out and five other grim reapers came out with red eyes rolling five coffins on stage. When they turned the coffins around the boys came out singin'. And that was it! They concert was really great though, even though I didn't get to meet them like I was hoping, but there's always a next time:)
